I'm really enjoying the .32 cartridge. Right now I've got a few Colt model 1903s that put those 32s on target with surprising accuracy. And with the new ammo out there; the good HPs make the old Colt a nice carry piece.

Next up is the 4 3/4" 45 Colt. At first glance it appeared to be original; however, it also looks to have a replacement barrel. The "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 45" script supposedly didn't start until 1929. The serial number puts this one at 1924-25. Hard to tell that anything else is off...

First, I'll start with the 45 that we know has been reworked at some point. This one has the earliest serial number of the bunch. The barrel is an early 2nd gen; and the cylinder looks that way as well. My guess is that it was reworked sometime in the early 50s during the TV western explosion.

Thx guys. The holster is a dhcustomwork. :) I picked up the dime at a small coin shop a few blocks from my place. I'm putting together an IWB for it, too. Too accurate, reliable, and darned cool not to put in the carry rotation.
