Thanks for the info and tips guys. The reason I am asking is that the mold maker states to not use wheel weights at all. But I have mixed them with ingots from Cabelas and the weights seem fine so far. But if a guy skims the top of pure wheel weights they will bend fine ?

Has anyone melted down shot from old shotshells? I want to do this for decoy anchors. I would welcome any other alternative for mass quantities of pure lead (besides wheel weights, have plenty).
