AR Builds -- What Parts Did You Choose and Why??

I started my 18" middy build Ruger lower for a something I didn't have and local PWS Ratchet castle nut and endplate cause I thought it was a novel idea and wanted to try it out. https://www.primaryweapons.com/product-url-1893 Magpul CTR with grey Larue RISR because I had them Seekins mag...

    Created an Auto-Deprimer/Cleaner machine. Interest?

I feel like I may have been an engineer in a past life which causes me to enjoy looking and understanding machines now. I would certainly like to know more. I agree with the others that the cleaning of primer pockets may not be a huge selling point, now if it could clean the lube off after...

    A Reason For Records...

I've been reloading only since ~2010. After the first couple years I could not tell any difference between primers, all SPP seemed the same all LRP seemed the same. Because of this, and the fact that I preprime my brass, not only do I not record primer lot# but I don't record the primer brand or...

Disappointment in the new RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Reloading Kit

I just want to add that without the cheapo stuff in the kits, noobies wouldn't be able to figure out what they like and don't like.

    Process Improvement Suggestions

I find it unnecessary to use power to chamfer and deburr. 3 quick spins wirh a hand tool works great.

Disappointment in the new RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Reloading Kit

I recently got their universal hand primer and like it a lot. Don't have much else just misc trays and a couple die sets. All have been great.

HELP! Primer arm stuck to primer and brass

Prolly won't damage the die but may break the primer arm/seater. There should be enough room in the seater cup to push the primer out of the case though, just go slow.

    Question on Brass prep

I like to use the flash hole uniformer to get a nice cone shape for the primer to start the powder up. I dont think I can shoot well enough to tell an actual, on paper difference.

    Shooting aimlessly.

I might mag dump once in a blue moon. But rarely won't have targets....sometimes i am lazy and opt to not walk the target stand to rifle lengths and will blast at rocks.

    Apartment reloading

I found a nice wood desk at Goodwill that i mounted my presses on. Of course, im lucky enough to have a girlfriend who doesnt mind our bedroom being in the living room and our one bedroom being the "reloading/storage" room.

    T/C Compass Quick Review

Looks very similar to my T/C Venture .308. My only problem with it is the small mags, 3 rounds. Smooth bolt, trigger feels nice slightly heavy. Picked it up because I wanted a 30 cal bolt action and it was under $300.

    Powder charges

I've seen some company's load data awkward to read before, it's possible other option may be listed in a different area of the pdf? The bullet you mentioned may be longer or have a larger bearing surface. Also, 4gr isn't very much even in .223, and you will find different numbers at different...

    reloading log

3 ring binder divided by caliber. I only do a few calibers so it can all fit. Each load gets a page, and I can swap the pages around how ever I want.

Finally figured out my dud rounds.

Agreed, i always run my finger over the seated primer. And instantly feel if its flush or a few thous below.
