I tend to go one step further. Targets come in all sizes. I transfer the holes onto an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with all the pertinent info such as load, firearm, location and conditions. Easy to file in a 3 ring binder by cartridge.
I have a sign above my workbench. "I'd rather loan my cat than my tools. I know my cat will come back. But if you insist." It then has a place for tool name borrower name and drop of blood. I should add, "Reloading tools do not apply."
As I get older I find recoil more of a problem. Also have a bad elbow which creates a problem holding a shotgun or rifle. Went to the local Farm Supply to buy a shooting glove. Clerk recommended a Batting Glove. Cheaper and lasts longer. It works great but the trigger finger is a little too...

You can do the math, but the brass has to go somewhere. My analysis says that if you do not ream there is minimum clearance. I have resized them, reamed them and had no problem. Several years ago I had a guy show up at our club to sight in his new rifle. He had paid over a grand for...
Lawyeritis but not as bad as Ruger where you have to get the grips off to get at the lock. Do they realize how hard it is to find replacement (Wood) grips?
Mine was pinned in also. I just knocked it out, found a piece of AL of the right thickness, did a rough saw, marked and drilled it, and then filed it down at the range. The only problem I have is that the new sight is so high I can't mount the issued bayonete.
19 types, including 3 types of Pyrodex. the only ones with more that 1 lb are Unique and 700X (2 trap/skeet shooters). Discounting the Unique and 700X, averages > 1 lb a type.
Have not tried smokeless but Rem commercial or a full load of Pyrodex behind a 405 lead WILL get your attention in an 1884 Springfield. Even for a 200 + Lb adult. With the smaller stature of men of that vintage there must have been a lot of sore shoulders.
Trail Boss with Berry Bullets. 2 in at 25 yd, 10 inch contender open sights. Have now had cataract surgery so will try again. The old eyes were not good.
I have a Chargemaster with no problems. 1964 vintage Redding for backup. 2 issues
1Vibration. Do not have your scale (either one) on the same platform as your press. You are just asking for problems.
2 Watch what you wear. No nylon or wool. Static will kill the digital. Wash the surface...
Primarily revolvers / ss. Do have an RST4 and a High Standard Target. Don't need to keep .22 rf. Also a couple of 1911's. One is a gold cup. The rest are revolvers or TC. One frame, 7 Barrels. Don't like to chase brass.
I have a rather large collection of shells and cases. When I was young and ignorant (now I'm old and ignorant) I marked them with masking tape. WD40 is my goto for removing masking tape. Also plastic wood thinner works, but outside in a breeze. Very toxic.
My first handgun deer kill was with a .357, 25 yd neck shot. Deer got up and tried to go away. After butchering found the shot was t&t and actually clipped the spinal column. Decided it was inadequate and went to the .41 Next 4 deer were 1 shot kills, neck and heart/lung at up to 100 yd.
I...
Odd number grove barrels are difficult to measure. I have an 1884 springfield 45-70. Couldn't get it to shoot worth a hoot. Slugged the barrel and took the slug to work. One of the machinist use the "optical comparator" Grooves were .460. Over sized bullets and it shoots like a dream...
