Very disappointing news from Kay Bailey...

Kay Bailey has always been a wishy washy 2nd amendment defender. Good riddance and a big Texas smile that Ted Cruz will be taking that seat in January!

    Quick Texas CHL question

When I took my Texas CHL course back in 1999 I only owned a revolver, a Taurus M85. When I got to the range my instructor said, "Here shoot my Glock". It was the first time that I had ever shot a semi auto pistol and my first experience with a Glock. I had no time to practice, I said a...

    Czech weapons underated?

I, too, am a CZ-aholic! I've got about a dozen CZ pistols, one in every caliber that they have ever produced. My oldest is a CZ 24 (1927) and my newest is a polished stainless 75B. They are just awesome!! My refinished/re-gripped CZ 82--one of my favorites!

Dr. Ignatius Piazza and Front Site

I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years and was very involved in the shooting community. Without exception the courses received excellent reviews. I knew several of the instructors and they are top notch. A word of caution: IT'S SUMMER, IT'S THE DESERT, IT'S HOT, IT'S VERY HOT!!

I recommend that you consider the CZ RAMI 2075 in .40 S&W. It's my everday carry and it is so well made!

Driving from Nevada to Texas with guns

Just a quick side note. If you are going to be staying at hotels at night I'd suggest that you consider bringing your handguns into the room with you. Hotel/motel parking lots are notorious for lack of security. It's not uncommon to hear of someone's U-Haul being taken while the owner slept.

    Opinions on American Classic 1911

I've got a two of these fabulous pistols, an American Classic II and an Amigo both in the hard chrome. They are soooo coool and shoot like a dream! The trigger on my ACII is the best out-of-the-box 1911 trigger I've ever felt.

    New Toy: CZ83

I've had CZ 83's and CZ 82's and I just smile everytime I pick one of them up. Personally I like the 9 x 18 cartridge better so the 82 is a great buy on the Milsurp market.

How does the matte stainless steel CZ 75B finish hold up?

I've got the bright polished one and it's awesome! I looked at the matte, but actually like my nickel CZ 75's appearance better.

Have You Heard about "The Gun Wire"?

+1 on refreshing. Just because Drudge does it doesn't make it a good idea. It should refresh if there is something new, but otherwise....

    question for CZ owners..

I've got about 2 dozen CZ's in the gunsafe right now and not one has had a spring issue. Like Walt said (we miss you Walt!) and Amoredman, czech with the fine folks at CZ Custom. They did a bright polished stainless CZ 75 for me, it is the most awesome pistol I own (other than the custom...

    Naming Guns

I named my very first CZ "Silvia" after the only Czech I knew of. Two dozen CZ's later and it's still the only one with a name.

    Any recommended engravers in Houston?

You might do a Google search. There are a couple of engravers here in San Antonio, but what might be very cool is to get a set of Texas Mesquite grips made with the Texas Ranger's shield, etc. There's a guy in San Angelo that does some excellent work. He sells 'em on ebay and can be contacted...
