I've always stored all my magazines empty ever since I ruined some 10/22 magazines by storing them full of rounds. The springs seem to wear out and then the magazine doesn't feed properly any more, leaving you with a piece of trash that isn't good for anything.
Is this a common problem with...
I picked up a used 12ga Wingmaster 870 that has a barrel marked 2.75". There are no markings having to do with shell sizes on the receiver... so am I correct in assuming this is a 2.75" gun? If I were to pick up a newer remchoke barrel in the future, would it have to be a 2.75" barrel or would...
Thanks for the tip about getting a smoothbore sighted barrel. The combo I've seen has a rifled barrel. What happens if you use buckshot in a rifled barrel? Do you just get an overly concentrated pattern?
On the 870 12ga 26"/20" you see everywhere, does the long barrel take the screw in chokes? One more thing, do you actually save money by going for the combo or are you paying about the same as you would if you were to just buy the extra barrel separately? Thanks.
Makes sense MAG, just like driving your car short distances only will rust out the exhaust system many times faster than if you drive it normal distances.
Thanks for the tips.
What exactly is the difference between a 686PP and a 686? There is also a 686P but it looks like that is a 7 shot vs 6 for the other two.
How do typical retail prices compare on a 686 vs the GP100? I am definately leaning towards one of those two.
I am looking to get a .357 Mag revolver in Stainless with a 4-6" barrel. Not sure about frame size. Anybody have any recommendations on Taurus vs Ruger vs S&W (or anybody else) in .357 Magnum Revolvers? Any particular models recommended or to be avoided? Thanks.
