    Finnish /Sako Mosin

Here is your answer to scoping one. Totally non-desctructive and an idiot (me) can put it on and take it off. Very sturdy. Using this scope will show you how awesome the M-39 can be. I have put these bases on M-39, K-98 and Vz=24. Bullseye...

    midway usa new shipping rates...

Not my day. Tried to quote about 2 days across country, then many days for USPS delivery! Absolutely...that is the example I use all the time. It is so frustrating. I have had so much stuff arrive at my post office on Thursday, but not delivered until Tuesday.

    .223 for Beginners

I will make this easy for you. CZ 527 in .204 Ruger. My first shots, numbers 16 - 20 were in one enlarged hole. Good on paper out to several hundred yards. About 4100 fps down the barrel. Oh, no recoil and when you reload, powder goes a long, long way. Nikon Monarch with high rings no...

    30.06

I love the 30-06. Seems like lots of folks shoot them that don't reload, so I scrounge the brass and convert it to 25-06, which really is the best. But you 30-06 guys just keep right on keepin on. Cousin!

7.62x54R, Crushed Cases, Wasted Powder, and Four Letter Words

I am a PPU reused brass kind of guy as well. I still have about 20 boxes of the stuff, though I have reloading 7.62x54 for several years now. Every time I have to trash a few cases, I just go shoot a box. Now new brass. It is magic!

    New Bench Can't Mount Press

My press is mounted on a 2 x 8 that is screwed into bench, and then the bench is screwed into the wall studs. The press is bolted onto the 2 x 8. The 2 x 8 is the width of my bench, pluse about 3 1/2 inches. Works fine. Good Luck

    Recall: Remington 700 & Model 7

I can't speak for anyone, financially, but I would never even consider sending one back. Buy a better trigger and install it. I have installed three, all work much better than original, and I am a freakin jackleg. Remington has a mess on its hands. Opt out. Good luck.

    dogtown dilemma

I am thrilled beyond description with my CZ 527 Varmint in 204 Ruger. The damn thing is telepathically controlled and knows where the bullseye is. Damndest technology I have ever seen!!! You will not go wrong, especially if you reload.

Eyesight correction for service rifle sights

I asked about a script once just for shooting glasses, a little clearer, a little brighter, anything to be able to see target and sights plainer. After a 20 minute bs session with the eye doc, NOTHING. Just same old, inadequate for shooting script. Hope you fare better! I have gone the...

    Reloading x54 Vepr Whupped Cases

Love my Vepr but it beats the poop out of cases. RCBS FL sizing die doesn't get some of the dings out. I have fired with dings, and it has been fine, but I just don't think that is a real good practice. Is there a Lee or something "universal" that will really de-ding beat to poop brass...

Metering 4064 is driving me nutz any hints.

Here is a simple answer though you will not like it> Hodgden Benchmark or IMR 8208. They meter like a dream. I started reloading with IMR 4064 and thought it sucked, I am so glad over time I have found other powders. I think RL 10 and RL 15 meter pretty good, too. All my new stuff meters good,

What is the last gun that you bought?

Got a CZ527 Varmint in .204 ruger couples weeks ago. Fun to shoot and fun to load for. "Cute" little bullets. Incredible shooter. Everyone shoulda get one.

    Measuring to lands???

If you really are into it, and you will be sooner or later, get the Hornady gauge, That, and the bullet insert will cost you about $40. Then you will get the comparator since you will realize that only the ogive matters, I had the Sinclair gage and was sending some keyholing so I thought...

    CZ 527 re-chambered to .221 Rem Fireball...should I dump it?

I realize I am a dumbass, but couldn't you just get a new barrel? Just so you know, I recently purchased a CZ 527 Varmint in 204 Ruger. I have about 82 rounds down the barrel. I have had two 5 shot groups about the size of my 8mm mauser bullet hole. That's 12% absolute on top of one another...

shooting tight groups 100 to 200 yds

You might want to change plans and get a CZ 527 Varmint in 204 Ruger. It knows where you want the bullet to go. I honestly can't believe everyone who shoots at a range does not have one. They are simply the best! On a rope to 300 yards.

    PPU Ammo

    Reloading resources for somewhat noob....

Reloading is an activity that cannot tolerate either lack of attention or lack of time. I spentlast Saturday evening, taking apart 78, yep 78 cartridges that I messed up, Saturday morning. I was in a hurry and kept telling myself I was not in a hurry, but to take my time, but it did not...

    First or Favorite Mauser?

We have a winner. Those 98K sights suck; Here is solution: 100% non-destructible, just remove (and save in a baggy) some parts off rear sight, and install mount (these guys have them for many many Mausers) http://www.galatiinternational.com/product/SK2675.html I put a NIKON scout scope on...
