I found the High Noon Side Guard when I was looking for a holster that wouldn't hang down and show. I got mine for a Sig P938. They are very nice holsters and not cheap. I got mine lined also. I am very happy with it and it is comfortable.
All the LE holsters I have seen do not have retention strap but the gun is very secure because the gun will not pull straight out. You have to grip the gun and twist counter clockwise to get it to release. LE using holsters with no retention are just asking for trouble.
Check out the Sig P239 either in .40 or .357 Sig. A standard Sig 9mm barrel will fit the gun and drop right in. It can't be changed from original 9mm back to one of the other calibers because the slide on the .40 and .357 is larger. The P229 SAS Gen ll in 9mm is smaller than my older Sig P229...
Here is one of my 10mm guns. The other is a S&W 1076 Kentucky State Police issue. There is a lot of 10 mm ammo to choose from as you can see from the chart.
The .357 Sig was designed for a 125 grain bullet traveling at 1450 fps. Most people don't know this and they have never shot true .357 Sig ammo. Most ammo found in this caliber is watered down and is no different than a 9mm. The big name ammo company's such as Winchester or Federal etc. only...
I would have remained calm and pulled over. Then I would have got out of the car and one way or the other got the guy out of my car. Wouldn't bother me to leave someone like that on the side of the road. I am sure he would have wound up safely in jail.
The man just shot and killed at the movie in Florida was shot one time and died on the spot with a .380. I don't know if it was FMJ or JHP but I will guess JHP since according to news reports the gun jammed after the first shot. It was reported the bullet passed through the wife's raised hand...
The Hornady bullet works as designed if very little expansion works for you. Look at any caliber and you will see that Hornady does expand more than FMJ but not close to other JHP. The lineup for bullet diameter expansion is FMJ, Hornady, and JHP such as Gold Dot or HST. I have a P238 that I...
You are shooting some good stuff. I like all Underwood ammo. I saw a ballistic gel test on a 125 grain Buffalo Barnes all copper load in .40 that was very impressive. The load was rated standard pressure. The .357 Sig is my first CC choice with Underwood 125 grain that chronos over 1500 fps. I...
A Glock 27 with full power .40 S&W loads kicks like a mule. Get a Sig 239 or P229 or a similar sized gun if you want to shoot .40. If you are going to shoot the watered down loads I would not even buy a .40.
Look for the YouTube testing of the Buffalo Barnes 125 grain copper bullet if you want to see something to talk about. The copper bullet is shaking up the modern JHP world in a good way.
Conclude all you want but you can read the whole story with questions and answers from forum members if you want to find out for sure. There is an exit wound and you can google .357 Sig wound and go to the forum and read about it. There is way too much concluding that goes on various gun forums...
Found this picture of a forum members leg from another forum. This is the entrance wound from his .357 Sig round. He let his Glock get the best of him.
Corbon and Buffalo Bore are running closer to Underwood than others. Take a look at a test video on YouTube by tnoutdoors9. He tests a lot of different .357 Sig ammo but one that stands out to me was the Remington Golden Saber bonded. Massive wound track! I read that the inventor of the Black...
