Is there a way to tell if it is calibered in .30-03 or .30-06? It does cycle the .03-06 rounds I loaded very nicely, but I'm not sure if that matters in this case. Also, the rounds I have are 180 grain and I don't know if those are too heavy to fire if it is a .30-06.
Thanks for the information. I was mainly curious because for something that is 100 years old, it looks remarkably good. I've also had a problem finding a value and any to compare it to since many of the ones listed for sale are the remakes from the last decade or so.

I have a Winchester 1895 that I'm trying to find some value and information on age and if anyone thinks from the photos that it's been re-blued.
The serial number is 714xx. I looked at a few sites and they list that as being manufactured in 1914. I believe it's calibered in .30-06...
