Richard's microfit has a bargain bin for wood stocks, and you can gt a nice one for cheap. Make a great scout rifle stock on a budget.

I have had a couple Hi Point carbines over the years, and currently own one of the new versions. They are ugly, and heavy, but mine have been very reliable with any ammunition, and a blast to shoot.
Cheapest carbine I have to shoot right now, since I do reload.
I have started using AR Comp from Alliant. I ran out of Varget, and the only thing I could find was the Comp. I really like it, and can achieve the same velocities with a smaller charge, and it meters really well.
I seat Hornady 55gr bulk bullets to 2.250.
