    capper Get yourself a " Cash pistol capper ". You'll be able to get it into tight places like a revolver and it will last several lifetimes. I see that Cabela's has them but they are pretty easy to find.

    I've watched three guys try to pull balls with a "stuck ball remover tool" none sucessfuly. I would recomend that you pull the nipple, crush some powder in the palm of your hand to make the grain size smaller, pour some in the flash hole, tap the rifle to work some down, repeat a couple times...

    Barrel wont stay clean!

    I've had real good results using neatsfoot oil after cleaning the bore. I use it in all my rifles.

    I would suggest that you try the longer ( 350 grain ) REAL bullet. That twist rate you have should be ideal. You could cast yourown and double the fun. Jwinks

    No sonic "crack" from my BP .45-70 loads, are they that slow?

    I have been struggling to get my velocity up around 1100 Fps. I heard from one fella at a shoot that he gets this all the time. I use Elephant FFG and if I size the cases and just bell the very end of the mouth I can get an avg of 1025. Is this normal? The fellas with the 1050-1100 FPS must be...

    Sako needs part

    Yesterday I ended up with the bolt out of may Sako L579 in one hand and the rifle in the other. Spring was broke in the bolt stop. I got a rather sorry fix out of a ball point pen spring but would like to find the right part. Anyone have any ideas where a man could find one? Thanks
