Taurus gets a bad rap
I have owned many Taurus revolvers and one of their pistols. I only had problems with one. I bought a .357 revolver back in 1991 and after about 1-1 1/2 years the firing pin broke. I did a lot of dry fire so that may have been my fault. I sent it back to Taurus and they...
Color Me Green
I am not a Green person normally. However my solution to a quiet pellet trap falls in the Recycle area nicely. I have the Gamo Pellet Trap and I take the shreds from my shredder and stuff it full. Makes 22 real quiet. :D
Never owned, seen or heard of T5
But I do own both a Taurus Public Defender 410/45 and a Taurus Raging Judge Magnum 454/45/410. I like them both. As far as the 410, it was a side note for me. I got the Raging Judge because I wanted something in one of the Large Pistol Calibers. Its fun to shoot...
I sort mine by color. I put all the pretty silver ones in one pile and all the yellow ones in another pile. It serves no real purpose.....I am just anal retentive.

this is the Ruger Blackhawk convertible that comes with 9mm luger extra cylinder. Not sure if that is what you are looking for.
Tom
I'm Jealous. Let me try something here, an old Jedi mind trick.
You don't want this gun. You want to give this gun to Tom. Go ahead.... put it in the box and send it to him now!
Rhinoh "lately my favorite has been my .45XDs. All pocket carry."
How do you pocket carry it? I can't even get mine to conceal in my large winter jacket pockets. Is that with the 5 or 7 round Mag?
Here is my experience with Taurus
1. First I bought a 22 Revolver model 94B4. This was 1991 timeframe. Never had any issue with it. In fact I took it to the range yesterday and shot it, cleaned it tonight.
2. I bought a model 66 (I think) in 357. Loved it right up until 1 year after I had it...
Why not look at what happens in the real world? go to www.handloads.com and click on the Stopping Power link at the top of the page. It will tell you what you need to know about which round to choose for self defense. You will probably notice after researching many options that .357 and 45 ACP...
"And let's see some documentation. In general, shooting someone in the back after he has ceased to reasonably be a threat is a good way to go to jail"
Your absolutely right. I didn't say it was right or that it was legal or ethical. Just telling what happened. That our Prosecutor decided not to...
shot in the back
Here is how it this works here in SC. About a year ago the local waffle house got robbed repeatedly, in the early morning hours. Finally the staff got fed up and bought a gun for their protection. They kept it under the counter. So along comes another criminal to rob the...
I have read this entire thread and learned a lot on Economics and Politics. However, it brings me to one conclusion. The primary reason, other than its fun, that people shoot 22LR is that is is cheap. If it is no longer Cheap there is little incentive for me personally to shoot it over my .357...
Savage Axis trigger
I am also considering a Savage Axis for my first rifle (larger caliber than 22LR). To solve the trigger issue couldn't you just get a trigger job done. couldn't a competent local gunsmith do a trigger job for you. Then you would still have a nice rifle cheaper than what the...
My Solution to the 22LR ammo shortage
I am so frustrated with this situation that I have been seriously considering the following.
I have one 22LR revolver and one 22LR semi auto rifle
I sell/trade them both on a bolt action .223 that I can reload for and say goodbye permanently to the 22LR...
My Carry is a SP101 3"
I have and carry the Ruger SP101 3" in 357. I carry it with 357 in it. I love this gun. It feels perfect in my hand. I did get the hogue grips which are IMO better than the factory one. I take it to the range frequently and shoot Hot Loaded (NOT ABOVE SAMMI) 357 loads and...
I am fairly new to reloading also, been doing it about a year now. I got the Lyman reloading handbook which has a ton of good info in the front. a section for pistol calibers and a section for rifle calibers. In addition I found a good site with how to videos on setting up your dies in the...
I just save the plastic slide open cases from CCI ammo and reuse them. I know it doesn't help much with carry. However, if most of your trips are to the range anyway, it's a great way to organize them. I buy the bulk 22 LR when I can find it so they just come loose in the cardboard box. The CCI...
7 rounder Magazine
" I had complained to them that I had some feeding problems with the after market SA. 7 rounder. I'm wondering did anyone else get one, hope we all did for our trouble."
I also have the 7 rounder and have had trouble with it. Top round stands almost 45 degree angle...
