    Case lube

I don't load thousands of cases at a time, typically 100. I prefer the Lee lube and apply it individually. I use it as just another step to examine the case for defects before being primed.

Anybody else NEVER tumble their brass?

Guilty as charged, LOL! That is a foreign concept to me. I am not superstitious in the slightest bit, and don't understand it, so it wouldn't ever enter into my thought process. We all have our idiosyncrasies. :D Mine is attention to detail on case prep (not tumbling, but trimming, primer...

Anybody else NEVER tumble their brass?

These 100 non-tumbled cases are so dirty it's going to tear my dies up in 5 minutes. And there is no way, absolutely no way a milspec AR is going to be able to shoot them to 1/4MOA at 100m, just because they weren't tumbled. LOL Some of the responses have been so over the top one would think...

anti bear rounds for lcr .357 mag?

Bear and LCR used in the same sentence? Last time I was in bear country I carried a 44mag loaded with 300gr pills and I felt woefully under-gunned, LOL.

Can small rifle magnum primers be used for standard .223?

Yes, you can use SRM primers, just make sure you work up a load and keep in mind you are varying from the manual if it doesn't call for a SRM primer. CCI#41 give me about 90fps more velocity than CCI400 for the same powder charge in my .223 reloads. I would definitely not treat them the same as...

How much does energy matter in SD situations

I'm of the school that believes shot placement is more important than the "magic" bullet.

    AR/.223 trajectory mystery

If you zero at 25 yards you'll be about 6 to 6 1/2" high at 100 yards, or somewhere thereabouts. If you sight in about 1.6" low at 25 yards you should be close to zeroed, or at least on paper, at 100yards. With the muzzle velocity and BC it is pretty simple to make a trajectory chart/table.

    New Super Blackhawk

Yes, you should clean and lube it before you shoot it. Luckily that is very easy to do with the SBH. Clean and lube it like you would if you shot it a few times and didn't clean it. Besides getting off the cosmoline, or whatever type of protectant they used, I also clean the factory grease and...

    First Range Report with Chrony

That explains the confusion and why some said to not shoot it, LOL. :D "Chrony" is a specific brand.

Some questions for those that use .38 Spl/.38 Spl +P for personal protection.

I'm not going to get into an internet argument <deleted>. I will conclude with; I did not say testing anything was a "waste of time". I did say practice is a better use of ones time. If you read into it any more than that then you invented it in your mind because that's what you wanted it to...

Some questions for those that use .38 Spl/.38 Spl +P for personal protection.

Nope, that's not what I said now is it? There's nothing wrong with looking at tests or doing tests but the arguing in this thread is arguing minutia and filled with opinion and the theoretical and akin to bench racing. Get any one of the modern factory loads from your favorite self defense...

    "Target trigger" curved or flat?

I use a flat trigger on my AR, not for any particular reason than that's the way it comes. It's a Geissele SD3G. No cons compared to a curved trigger that I've noticed. To me it feels like a trigger. I guess if my super tactical mall ninja powers were activated I would notice something, LOL. I...

Do you ever show your CCW when asked for photo ID?

IANAL. As far as I understand it is illegal to carry inside a post office, and that's why I hate going to my PO Box, LOL. I keep my pepper spray on me though. Just recently has it become legal to carry in the parking lot, but not inside the building.

    AR-COMP, .223, .224 and 7.62x39

I use AR-Comp in my 5.56 AR. There is limited data available for AR-Comp but Alliant has some on their site. Nothing for AR-Comp and 762x39 just .223 Easier to just give you the link. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/powderlist.aspx?type=1&powderid=35&cartridge=46 I've been trying to...

Do you ever show your CCW when asked for photo ID?

Why would it be a good thing he didn't? I wasn't carrying and why would you assume I don't know the law? Turns out he shot too and every time after that we would chat about guns when I was at his counter.
