I have Briley Sidekicks in my Browning. They take the gun from 12ga. to 20ga. They work very well, but get VERY dirty and are tough to clean.

Try a little experiment. Take a half dozen full one gallon water jugs to the range and shoot them with #9 skeet loads. Certainly the "weakest" shotshell load available. After you shoot them from 15 feet, tell me it wouldn't be a big deal to get hit with a shotgun loaded with #9!

Why a shotgun?
To quote Clint Smith: " Because, trust me brothers and sisters, you tag him with one of these coming down the hall, it's gonna leave a mark and it's gonna be a big one."

You need to get a copy of Clint Smith's DVD about personal defense shotguns and watch how fast he can shoot a single barrel shotgun. With a little bit of training, you can do the same. I would never feel "under-armed" with a single barrel 12 or 20. YMMV

Get a copy of Todd Benders DVD, "Winning with the Fundamentals of Skeet", and watch it again, and again, and again, and again...............watch it until you get it!

Have you ever owned or shot a Stoeger Coach Gun? I'm thinking about getting one for home defense and I would be grateful for your opinions on quality and recoil.
Thanks a lot.

Try this little experiment. Fill a gallon jug full of water and shoot it with #9 skeet loads one time from about 15 feet and see if you think you need a magnum! Trust me, the fight will stop and you can prove it to yourself very easily.

Taurus44,
I'm ignorant. How and why do you get "the stamp"? Who issues that sort of thing, and what is the cost? Is the stamp required for anything under 18"?
I'm betting that you don't live in IL or NY?
VERY nice looking shotgun, BTW......

I don't see a lot of "hard to sell 24" Benellis" at greatly reduced prices on the gun auctions. As a matter of fact the only ones you seem to see are the new ones posted by dealers. I haven't seen a good deal on an M2 in a long time.

After years of shooting skeet and a few years of shooting trap I am finally going pheasant hunting this fall! I have decided to buy a Benelli M2 to carry in the field and I have a question for you expert hunters. Would you buy a 28", 26" or a 24" barrel and why? I'm also thinking of buying a...
Hi Phil,
No less of an expert than Clint Smith says the best shotgun wound he ever saw as a police officer was a #71/2 skeet load shot from a single shot shotgun. Would anyone want to take a skeet load or two from 10 feet? I think not.....
"You might be surprised what you could do with a...
