Not a new member, but might as well be after my hiatus. Got busy with work and life, but have also acquired more guns during this time and shot a whole lot of lead down range.
Correct, you can drink while carrying, however there is nothing that specifies limits, such as legal driving limits BAC. Good or bad, it is to the discretion of the law. Basically, drink in strict moderation when carrying and don't be stupid.
I wear IWB year-round and I rarely have a shirt between the holster and skin. No issues with comfort or concealability. I have a hybrid holster with horsehide backing. When it's really hot out, I do sweat through it. It is inevitable.
How big or small are your hands? I use the Shield's safety and like it, specifically because I can easily switch it off while holding it in the firing position.
I have an Express I got a year ago - so it is the new "batch".
Zero problems. I probably have 700 shells through it.
No rough chamber issues, no corrosion issues.
Love the 110 and still have mine, but it is a bit heavy for an EDC. I now carry an Ontario RAT-1, which is almost the same size, but a few ounces lighter.
Forgotten Weapons is highly under-rated.

It is my range gun. Would definitely recommend if you can get past the looks, which are subjective. I think it looks fine.
Trigger is awesome...
Walther PPX. Eats all, including Russian steel case. 9mm. I also carry a S&W Shield in 9mm and it has eaten everything.
PPX - just over 2000 rounds fired
Shield - about 700 rounds fired
My Remington 870 with a couple barrels.
You can't get much more versatile than a shotgun with an 18.5 cyl bore and a 28" barrel with screw in chokes. Add a rifled slug barrel to that, and you're good to go.
I didn't carry while at work, either. Just a lot of walking and sweating after work on my part.
Still, I am somewhat disappointed that it didn't hold up all that great.
Similar experience here.
My 9mm shield started to show shiny metal near the top corner of the slide a month and a half after cerakote was applied.
I carry mine when I walk the dog abs sweat a lot. Constant walking for 4-5 miles or more every day basically rubbed the finish of in the...
