In the summertime (not wearing a large jacket, etc.), using a good IWB holster will help. Like others have mentioned, a good gun belt is a must.

Happy to hear you got he lock out cdludwig. I have one 642 that came with the lock and I removed it. I never had any problem with the lock but it's just one less thing to have to think about.

Negative. That's more than likely an armory number. Do you know the history of the gun? Was it ever a police or other agency gun? The assembly numbers are never put on the outside where you can see them.

I carry the DPX due to reduced recoil when compared to all other +P rounds (especially the 135gr Gold Dot load). The documented ability of the Barnes bullet to expand after penetrating barriers is icing on the cake.

The way I do it is to manually use the HTML image tags. I'm not sure how Picasa works but you'll need the URL for the pic you want to post. Once you have the URL for your pic, type the image tag and post.

More than likely, the dealers don't have a bunch of cash to invest in stock. Regarding Taurus revolver quality, unless they have turned things around in the last five years or so, it's not good. Out of the half dozen or so Taurus revolvers I've owned/shot, only one had a useable double action...
