OK a friend did notice something today.
When I mount my scope I put it in a vice and level the gun, the level across the mounts which is always the same anyway, then level the scope.
Well it's pretty obvious that the cross hairs are not level of perpendicular to level. Something inside the scope...
Good afternoon all.
Ok back about 8 yrs ago a put a leupold scope on my 30-30 until it went haywire. Sent it back and they said it was fine. So when I got my 45-70 I put it on it and it worked until this past week. All of a sudden I can't hit a wall. Things keep moving just like the last time...
OK looking for a new lever. I have never had a Henry and am leaning that way. I have a few Marlins in 30-30, and a 45-70 for bear already!
If ya had to choose a 44mag or 45 colt which would ya pick.
Yes I have a 45colt or newly purchased 480 when I'm in the woods hunting or know I'm going to be in the woods. Both times above I was just off guard, we were once at a friends and just said lets go put out food for deer and bear, the other I had received a call on the way home from church on a...
I also have a Glock 30 and when I first got it I had the same issues with reloads.
Do a search with my name and Glock in the reloading section and u will find your answer. They are very picky of OAL.....
I will look up my OAL and post it if ya don't find it. Shoots great I just have other...
What do ya mean aftermatket? The spring cups hold the spring to the firing pin, the sleeve is a piece of plastic inside the slide that guides the firing pin.
As far as the mag I have a 13 round so my hand fits comfortably.
I like it but just don't trust it.
One time it was the spring cups let loose. I needed to shoot at some wild dogs while walking thru the woods.
The last time there were some folk (hunters) lost in the woods and they shot and when I went to return a shot nothing. You had to slam it closed to get a shot off. Turned out it was the...
I love 45ACP's and yrs ago had to sell my 1911 which would shoot ANYTHING that I found or reloaded, BUT I had to sell.
So I did about 5-6 yrs ago pick up a G-30 used that is very accurate, light and I kind of like it, BUT It has failed me Twice because of a plastic part in the $2.00 range. I...
Picked up some Speer 275 grain GDHP and found plenty of load data.
I buy a lot from MBC and they just have 240 grain RNFP but no data.
Anyone load these?
Just bought a Ruger in .480 and was wondering what the preferred crimp is? I use both Lee and RCBS Dies and was wondering if I needed a separate die for Crimping. I know both seat and crimp with their seating die, just wondering what most here used and opinions?
Is there a known database where one who buys guns can go and search to see if guns are stolen. I would hate to be caught with a gun that is stolen.
I came across this website (http://www.hotgunz.com/) does anyone know if it's legitimate?
Started a little work on one of the knifes yesterday.
I used some Navel jelly since the rust was purely surface then just hand rubbed with Mothers, don't know if that was a good idea. There is No Pitting at all that's just the metal which is good for me.
The handles I have the one the way I...
Looks like the handles are going to be slightly sanded and will use the tung oil since that seems to be the consensus.
I just picked up some new rivets so will start some work on them today or tomorrow.
I don't need or want the blades to be new looking either just clean and rust free is all. I...
Good day all.
This is my first post in this section so here we go.
Helping someone clean out an old basement for a move and they were throwing out about a dozen or so Old Hickory Knives which as a junker of course I ended up with. She said she has had them at least 50 years which I don't care...
Ok folks our Country is going down to the libs quickly. As many here as well as I have a CHP I have a few questions.
If we are driving in an area where these thugs decide to protest and block your car, while others attempt to turn it over with you in it and you start shooting what are the...
