I need your help identifying why several rounds didn't completely chamber into my Rem 700.
I reloaded 13 rounds last week. The headstamps read R (dot) P 308 WIN, SBS 08 and SBS 08. I ran the casing through a lee resizing die and checked to make sure the casing were less then 2.015. In...
My fiancé bought herself a nice rem 700. I don't want to pay $1 a round and would like to go with her plinking.
Can you guys recommend a place to buy bullets for reloading. Most I want to pay is $70 and would like to get 200-300 bullets.
I've been eyeing extreme bullets 308 but I'm not sure...
I've cut the lee lube with alcohol 91% and I can't tell the difference in feel between a lubed case and a non lubed case. I expect it to feel like CLP or other gun oils but it doesn't. The lee lube feels more like toothpaste and is not slick at all.
I do see a thin coat of clear almost white...
I have a lot of ar brass I picked up and thinking of picking up a die set (lee or rcbs) from local bass pro and want to know if I need to resize the brass if gonna shoot it from an ar.
Which of the two die sets do you recommend? I have a lee hand press, breech lock.
And what powder? Is...
I have a harbor freight dual rotary tumbler with one pound of SS pins, one pound of brass, water, a generous amount of dawn and what I think is a generous amount if lemishine.
The first shiny group is was in the first container (4 hrs), second group was tumbled 8 hours, third group was over 12...
I just bought the hand press about three weeks ago and now I want something faster.
I could probably get by with a powder charger. Measuring my hand takes forever, even with a digi scale.
I didn't see this thread on here so I thought I'd make one.
If you can post a before and after picture or just post a picture of your recently cleaned and shiny brass.
Also post how you cleaned it for example....
Rolling tumbler
SS Pins
Or
Soap and water
I hope this thread catches on...
Is there a difference between eBay stainless steel and buffalo arms media?
Where is the cheapest you guys find it? I only need 2lbs and eBay has 2 1/2 for $25 shipped.
New to reloading and was thinking of loading up a few rounds with lead bullets I got from pay it forward. But before I do I wanted to ask id lead bullets are frowned upon in glocks and other short barrel pistols?
I also waned to keep per round cost down and was thinking of buying lead cast...
I started with 10 casings but while putting on the primers I didn't check one for placement and seated the primer facing the opposite direction.
The other mistake was made again in the priming stage. I believe it was the first one I set. I felt the spring tension and released the handle...
I have the lee hand press and dies. Limited brass about 150 9mm pieces. 1 lbs of powder, 1k primers
I have nothing to clean the brass with and no loading trays.
Should I concentrate on getting more powder, a local shop has a few lbs left.
Or should I buy a tumbler/ultrasonic?
I'm new to reloading and have read a few threads on it. I have yet to buy any powder or the lee reloading book. I will be buying the book but for the mean time I would like to know what powder I should be looking for.
I know most places are sold out but my LGS has some in stock for high...
