Yea I couldn't understand why they would have a problem I mean a bolt gun is fairly straight forward. You would think they would be all over the 6.8 .300bo market.
Very interested in this but I thought the blackout was having trouble in the savages or maybe that was just suppressed. I had also considered a 6.8 spcII conv. in a savage I think either would be great for the wife and kid.
Check out Jeb's choke tubes outa Ga. These things throw an amazing pattern and he'll work with you for your particular gun. I know for people local he'll even set up an app. for the a meet at the gun range.
In Georgia it used to be the WMA land was open to everyone unless a gate was up and then it was still foot traffic only as far as I know year round unless otherwise posted. The state just recently started charging a recreation pass for the ones not hunting because it was viewed as not fair for...
Check out ARPerformance they make some of the most accurate ar barrrels around and at great pricing they would be my first choice. Wilson Combat has very nice barrels but at premium prices. For a little something different check out Blackhole Weaponry they also offer lots of custom options.
It just so happens me and my father are putting this to the test right now although its .223 vs. 6.8. I just finished a 6.8 build and he decided to get a Browning x-bolt in .223 at the same time both barrels are still being broke in and we're still playing with the loads but as of right now the...
Glad I could help out I think those APs are nice too the lancer is the ones they put on the Christianson Arms, don't ever hold that rifle btw. I decided not to go carbon because I found a Samson special design for 5.56 tactical that weighs 10 oz. Chek it out before u decide its pretty slick.
I admit hard to beat the old cheap sks for up close piggy work but man where's the love for 6.8?? I thought everyone knew that 120 sst out of a 6.8 spcII was the choice of death for hogs everywhere.
Matching the bolt to the barrel is always a good idea not only does it ensure correct headspacing it promotes accuracy and as far as I know you can have any bolt matched to your barrel by a gunsmith or some barrel makers will let you send them your bolt and match it for you. Have you ordered...
Never knew a lot about it myself except I shot a lot of it over the years. I no longer have a weapon that shoots it but still got a surplus of a little over about 500 rounds of the old Norinco 125grn. fmj that I bought by the thousands don't know how this compares to new stuff but its always...
You just described the 6.8 SPCII to the letter. Low recoil, can be more accurate than most can shoot, ammo available at walmart academy and so forth for 18 to 25 bucks a box and very pleasant to reload, 120 grn sst is excellent on deer and hogs.
I've been curious for a while about Fulton armory's right side charge upper they offer bit don't know alot about Fulton. Does anyone have experience with this particular one?
If yur looking for 2 stage geissele is hard to beat. I myself prefer single stage and use the CMC 3.5 lb curved and love it slick as glass and pretty affordable.
Anyone looked at the ARPerformance next gen .308 platform yet? I done think they got it totally up and running yet but they tend to make some excellent products.
