Hmmmm. Thanks for the data. But it seems if that's all the velocity that can be had with the 22 Nosler, it won't be a much flatter flying trajectory than a 223 with a 20" barrel. And if I'm gonna have a 20" barrel to increase the velocity, I'll probably just got with the 204 Ruger. Even at 20"...

It definitely has potential. But my other big concern is that I invest into the cartridge and then it flops and there's no ammo or brass available in a year :/

I'd like to know were Nosler got that data on the 223 velocity. These seems several hundred feet per second slower than all other manufacturers data.

Nosler is offering their data taken from an 18" 22 Nosler barrel. So maybe they're thinking is the appeal of the same performance of a 24" 223 in a smaller package (6" less of barrel length/weight)

I hate that it's such a new round with limited data/components available. i'm hoping with time more grains/loads will be developed. As of right now all we have is 55 gr and 77 gr of the Nosler brand. I would love to see the different varieties of bullets that are offered for the 223.

Go with the G42. It is slightly bigger and (negligently) heavier than the BG and LCP, but its reliability and lack of recoil easily beat out the other options. I have shot all 3 and pocket carried the LCP and G42 and the G42 wins hands down.
