RCBS Uniflow Powder Baffle for small weights ?

I've never used the powder baffle, but I have zero problems throwing small charges, including the aforementioned 800X, by just using the small metering drum.

69gr .224 with short throat rifle?

Savage used to use the 69gr MK (maybe still do) for daily production accuracy testing. Load one and see where you're at.

So what is in your hollow grip?

    Bore Snake.

    Illinois house bill

You are aware that SA and RRA fired the lobbyist that made that deal, correct? Unfortunately, we'll get to judge their resolve on the issue. GDL is back up front and center. We'll beat it, but it will be thin.

    Boat paddle rugers

Awesome. I've got a 223 that was by first rifle and I've loved it since day one. And it's a great shooter. Sub MOA with any decent bullet.

Smallest, lowest, most unobtrusive red dot?

Burris FastFire 2/3. I've had a FF2 for many years. It has auto brightness adjusting that works, holds zero, and I've never had to replace the battery. The drawbacks are it's got a tiny screwdriver to zero it with that must be locked into position. The FF3 is a the newer model with Auto...

    Transiting Through Illinois

Here's the law. http://ilga.gov/legislation/ilcs/documents/043000660K40.htm My fairly certain comment was referring to whether or not ISP has been contacted about their out dated info. (They have, and here is the current publication.)...

    Compact 9mm decision

Small compact/large subcompact? Kahr P9/CW9, S&W Shield, XDs. You've kind of sized yourself out of the double stack preference. 8+1 ain't so bad.

    Transiting Through Illinois

I'm fairly certain this has been brought up several times by at least a couple of our 2A advocacy groups.

    Transiting Through Illinois

Yes, out of state licenses (and otherwise authorized carriers) are recognized for the limited purpose of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm within their vehicle. The above PDF posted by Wisco is the current iteration of the law. In typical Illinois fashion, the legislature succeeded in...

Suggestions Needed, What Handguns Are Currently Popular.

If you're expanding your line, perhaps you're looking for the second or third tiers of "most popular" carry guns. There seems to be fewer available quality holsters for those in that category, and from my own personal searching, Kahrs seem to get a bit less attention than Glock and S&W.

That document is outdated. The wildlife code was brought into alignment with the UUW and FCCA after concealed carry passed.

    Transiting Through Illinois

Illinois recognizes out of state licenses so long as the handgun remains within the vehicle. Also, I-70 passes through the free part of the state. There is no propensity to hassle out of staters by any LE along that route.

More than 5 rds CCW = intent?

Well...explain it to him like this. If carrying more than 5 rounds could be construed as intent, couldn't the act of carrying a gun be construed as intent as well? The most unfortunate aspect of bad instruction on the use of force is that bad information can lead people to make decisions that...

    Struggling with .45 ACP

I have a batch of Federal cases that gave me the bulge where RP and WW did not. I'd also check the crimp diameter. My SA RO has to get right down to .470" and not a hair over to plunk.

Does your thumb interfere with the slide release? You could be riding it enough to slow the slide down.

    Need a pocket holster

I like the Galco Pocket Protector. Thinner than the nylon and foam stuff with a big hook to catch the back edge of the pocket.

Is Unique inherently difficult to work with?

I had issues with with Unique and the aforementioned 800X when dropping small charges from the standard metering drum from my Uniflow measure. 800X was unusable. After I replaced the standard drum with the small drum, I have no trouble. I believe the larger drum would allow the powder to...

    Too many guns

By the media's recent definition, I was, and still am, a double super ultra mega power owner. For me it was not and is not the quantity, it was where I placed the possession of those guns in the hierarchy of life priorities. I started by taking a stack to my LGS and sold off a few here and...

    What is your EDC gun?

Kahr CM9 in a Galco Pocket Protector. I haven't carried anything different in about a year.
