I have an FNS-9. Agree on aftermarket availability issues, but have had none of the challenges other owners have reported. Mines a good shooter, solid built and reliable.

I've used HS-6 in 9mm, 38spec, 357Mag and 45ACP. Had good results in all, can't say I've noticed it being dirty. I've had a tough time finding it lately in 1 lbs container. 8 lbs would last me years.

FNS-9
I prefer (and own) the FNS-9. I've heard complaints about the trigger being "gritty" but I don't seem to have that issue. Shoots well, high capacity, and fit and finish is nice. Plus, the price has come down some. Definitely worth a look.
Fun Gun
If its just for fun, I'd get something with a longer barrel. THe SCCY isn't great for shooting much further than 25 yards (IMHO), at least at my skill level. I can get a lot more in the black with my RIA full size 1911 with the 5" barrel.
