    Opinions on Springfield Loaded Champion

I like my Champion very much. Mine's about the same size as my series 80 Colt Officer model. Reliable and accurate for me , at least, out of the box. The loaded is the way to go IMHO. I shoot S&B fmj for practice. My defense load is Federal Hi Shock Personal, it really likes those. The gun has...

Springfield Champion Loaded or Kimber Pro CDP

I don't have a Kimber, but have heard a lot of good things about them. Those who have them usually like them. I have a Springfield Champion loaded that I am very pleased with. It came very accurate right out the box, and feels good in my hand. It is bigger than my Colt Officer model, but not by...

    Ruger, Security Six Question

Buy it. My 4" stainless is a tackdriver, and has never failed me. Just get rid of the factory grips. Very solid guns.

In search of a crossdraw holster

I have a Bianchi #111 Cyclone that I use on my 586 l-comp. It works great and also fits a Ruger GP 100 3 "

Anyone else here own a Ruger Speed Six?

I've got a 2 3/4 " snubby that I just love. It will shoot anything, though it has a preference for Winchester 145gr sthp. The first thing that I did was change the grips to Pachmayr Compac. They work well for me and conceal well. They are kind of "tacky". and I get a good grip with them. Very...

Ruger Security Six Grip frame Countour Why The Change???

Hi! I've got a stainless Security Six 4" series 151XXX, and the first thing that I did was to change the darn grips. It was a bear to shoot with those small wood factory grips. I found a pair of grips on EBAY for $ 4.00 that are really handfilling, and make shooting this gun a pleasure. It's my...

What is Your Favorite S&W .38?

    Impressed with Sig 220

:) Thanks for the replies everybody. While I'm at it, what are the best magazines to buy for this gun? I got two factory 7 rounders with the gun, and bought an 8 round Mec-Gar in stainless on the way out of the shop.

    Impressed with Sig 220

About a month ago I posted for help in selecting a 45acp semi-auto. There were many opinions out there as to what was the best for my needs. Thanks to all of you I narrowed the field quite a bit. After handling and shooting my final three choices( 1911, HK USP, and the Sig 220), I decided on the...

    I Wanna hear from 3" S&W 64 Owners

You can't go wrong with a model 64. I have a model 64 with a 4 " heavy barrel. It's strong enough for all 38sp loads. As others have mentioned, don't overlook the other models in 357 mag as you can also shoot 38sp .

    1st Revolver...I need help!

I agree with 4v50 Gary. You can't go wrong with S&W or Ruger. The 4" bbl best overall, and with 357mag you can also shoot 38sp. The older Ruger Security Six and Speed Six are great guns, also. Very strong. Good luck

    Should I get a .357?

By all means get youself one and have some fun. Smith and Ruger both make some beauties. I went looking for a 45acp the other day and came home with a cherry Ruger Speed Six 2 3/4". It was love at first sight!

    Which 45acp for me

Thanks again. I'll take my time and make sure to try some of the models you've suggested out at the range. It helps to have narrowed the field down a bit already.

    Which 45acp for me

Thanks for all of the suggestions. It seems that trips to gunshops in my area is in order. The fact that it won't be for concealed carry means that size is not important, just reliability. The models you mentioned all seem to have pretty good track records so I'll be looking at those. Thanks...

    Which 45acp for me

Thanks for the info. The last 45 I had was a Colt Officer model. It shot well, and the size was ok for me. How about the fact that I shoot mostly revolvers as a factor in my decision? I've tried a glock 21, but it didn't work for me. Maybe something DAO? Or perhaps a model with decock only?

    Which 45acp for me

 Let me start by saying that I'm mostly a revolver guy. I practice alot with 357mag and 38sp+p so I'm not recoil shy. I've been wanting to add a 45acp to my collection. Mostly for target practice, plinking, possible bedside companion. I've owned a few 45's over the years, but don't...
