    Suppressor question

Like I said previously, lead rounds will foul a can long before jacketed rounds do. Some cans are sealed and are not user serviceable. I do not recommend putting lead through sealed centerfire cans.

    bipods

I went with a Versa-pod. It's more rugged than the Harris style bipods and it doesn't have those stupid springs on the legs. I also chose the type that has the metal feet because I use Mother Nature's bench (dirt) in the prone primarily. The best part is the QD function with the Versas, but...

    Magpul AR10 mags, dust covers...

I prefer Glocks over 1911's, but that's another discussion. The P-Mag is the best option for the AR-10 that uses the Stoner pattern magazines. You could use a DPMS mag and load 18 rounds so it's reliable. You can spend two to three times as much for a Knights Armament mag. You can get a...

    Suppressor question

Same applies...lead rounds will foul up the can faster than jacketed. .45 is a good caliber to suppress, as most of it is already subsonic.

Need a washer to index this suppressor against.

Crush and peel washers are not true and can cause rub or strikes. The OP needs to have the front sight modified due to the shorter threads and have the sight base trued for the can to thread against. I've been down that road before and shortcuts don't cut it.

    sbr or pistol

My point is that Jerry the Fraud is only licensed to steal and promote vapor-ware. He was exposed as a phony a few years ago. He talks the talk, I walk the walk.

    Subsonic .40

I really have no use for that data, as I'm a 10mm shooter. My main point was getting the barrel threaded for the can and that it might no be something that can be done to begin with.

    Suppressor question

I like my hearing and hate wearing ear pro. The four cans I have are very practical to me. Depending on the manufacturer, the can may be sealed and won't need cleaned. I have shot a sealed .22 can to the point that it was losing its suppression abilities. I jail broke it and cleaned it...

    locktite on barrel extension?

Are you using the thread locker to lock the can to the barrel or an adapter to the barrel? I use green sleeve retainer to lock any adapters to the barrel. I use synthetic oil on the threads of the can to the barrel to prevent it from seizing. I never have problems with my cans coming loose...

Are Gun Shows really worth attending?

I sell parts at the local shows. I search out good deals, buy, store and set up for a weekend. I make enough to perpetuate the cycle. I don't travel to out of town shows, though there have been requests that I do so. I do take requests for parts and I usually locate and buy them for the next...

    SIG Brace vs. SBR

I'm not certain and I don't want to be the test case and find out while I'm working. The brace is good enough.

    SB47 Material

What suggestions are you wanting? The portion that goes between the grip and receiver is steel. That is bolted to the piece that the tube is threaded into, bot of which are aluminum.

    How are you shipping rifles?

USPS priority registered mail. With it being 'registered' there is a chain of custody it has to be signed for. You won't get ripped off that way. DO NOT send it UPS. I worked for them at one point and if you want the ever-living crap beat out of your package, UPS is your shipper.

search for proper magazine for SKS

The Tapco 20's do work and may require some fitting in your rifle. If you don't care about additional capacity, find a factory 10 rounder, as mentioned previously.

    Use cases for short-barreled .308?

I have a SBR'd PTR-91P and a FAL that I built. Both have barrels between eight and nine inches. Why do I have them? Because I can. What use are they? My personal amusement. Saying that short barreled rifles are only for killing people is outright ignorant. It is this rationale that...

    SIG Brace vs. SBR

With the nature of my work, I would have to file a few dozen or more for each of the four states I travel to to cover the job sites and areas that I would be. The brace, as cheesy as it is, saves me time which is money.

Need a washer to index this suppressor against.

You're going to have to get it turned back in a lathe. Since it's a TD, it'll be a piece of cake. Make sure to specify that the sight will need shortened as well. Take the can along so the smith has a visual.

    SIG Brace vs. SBR

I have both configurations as well. I travel out of state regularly for work and use the braced pistols for that, as filing a 5320.20 for one of the SBR's is not feasible due to the short time frame I have.

    sbr or pistol

That guy is a fraud. Do a search and you'll find out. I, on the other hand, have already crossed that bridge circa 2006. I recently removed it from the CSS receiver I originally built it on and put it in a TGN receiver. I also added the brace, just because. Ammo is still readily available...

    Subsonic .40

Most .40 is loaded subsonic to begin with. The problem you will have is getting the barrel threaded for the can. I have an acquaintance that attempted it with a 9mm HP carbine and our dealer couldn't thread the barrel. I forget why, but our guy can thread just about anything to include Mosin...
