1847 Walker with conversion cylinders
I own 2 walkers which I shoot at cowboy action clubs. I use mostly conversion cylinders using 45 colt. I shoot Civil War (with an 1860 henry) or frontier cartridge. I shoot 200 grain bullets with 37 grains of GOEX FFg. Great fun
I was wondering if anyone has any data on FPS using q 46S&W 60 grains of FF with a 200 grain bullet. I bought conversion cylinders for a 45 colt but am thing of using the 46S&W because it uses up to 60 grains while a 45 colt maxes out at 37 grains
I am thinking of purchasing 46 S&W's brass to use in my 1847 Walkers at SASS shoots because 45's only hold 37 grains of FF Goex and I want to shoot 60 grains using 200 grain lead bullet. The FPS cannot exceed 1,000. Anybody have any data on the FPS?
