Which of YOur Handguns Almost Always Make it it the Range?

Some sort of USP or the Pardini GT9, or Sig X6. Everything else I'll switch up all the time but always one of those.

I'd forgotten how enjoyable the USP 9mm is

I'm with you, OP. There's no other polymer 9mm I like more than some flavor of USP, whether it's the original, Expert, Elite, Match, Compact, Tactical...The ergos fit me just right and I agree that the trigger isn't nearly as horrid as certain fanbois on the internet make it sound. Reliability...

    IPSC Production Pistol. Comments?

Oh, duh! Can't believe I missed his location. Too bad, I've been eagerly awaiting the US release of the steel SDP Productions.

    IPSC Production Pistol. Comments?

Besides the fact that DA/SA can clearly be competitive if you actually train with it, don't forget that every shot after the first will be a superior SA pull. I didn't know the Sphinx SDP Production was available yet, though. I don't think I see any on Gunbroker.

    Sub-Compact 357 SIG

I find my USP Compact to handle the round quite well.

    MAB PAP F1 target pistol

I took mine out today again for the first time in almost a year. This time, rather than cheap 115gr Russian ammo I used some better 124gr Aguila. Performance was much improved - accuracy was great, and recoil wasn't as bothersome as I had remembered. It shoves more than you'd expect, but it...

    MAB PAP F1 target pistol

It's been a while since I shot mine, so maybe I'm making it worse in my memory. However, it looks like Ed Buffalo, at least, agrees with me: http://unblinkingeye.com/Guns/MABP15/mabp15.html I'm not saying it was flipping out of my hands or something, but the force impulse felt greater than I...

    MAB PAP F1 target pistol

My PAP sure isn't. I was comparing it the other day to my PX4 Storm, which also uses a rotating barrel but is significantly softer shooting, and noticed that the MAB's barrel and slide unlock almost instantly, while the Beretta's travel together for a period. That plus the stiff recoil spring...

    MAB PAP F1 target pistol

Here's mine. Looking forward to your range report. I feel the PAPs are near the tops in exoticness and construction, but farther down the list in shooting enjoyment.

    Handgun Pictures

The Elite, especially with the weight, is my favorite HK shooter now. Its test target shows a group of less than 1" at 25m and I shoot it as well as anything else. Now that I have the weight on there to make it feel like a proper steel gun, it's #3 on my list of 9mms, right after the Pardini...

    Handgun Pictures

Good idea about the paper! I will try to find some. The weights are from Merkle Tuning in Germany. They are a very small outfit who don't export. Pretty much the only way to get them in the USA is the secondary market. Maybe there are a few floating around Australia. They are a great...

Do You Have an Excellent Handgun that was Inexpensive?

The FN FNP9 is also pretty good for its price.

Do You Have an Excellent Handgun that was Inexpensive?

I think the Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm, which can be had used pretty easily for under $400, is a great value. Very nice shooting guns. Was this in 1980?

I happen to know that he is living in a Lotus Esprit V8 down by a lake.

Favorite .45 Auto w/ Threaded Barrel?

USP Tactical. If price is a factor, you can find them used in excellent condition for around $900 pretty easily.

    Hk vp9 vs. Sphinx sdp

Buy one used and take advantage of a national gun marketplace like Gunbroker if you go to sell it. Shouldn't lose much if anything.

    Most Beautiful Gun Ever??

Maybe an unusual submission among all the steel 'n' wood classics usually found in these types of threads, but I think the USP full-size 9mm or 40 is almost perfectly proportioned visually. Especially a Custom Combat setup with the rail adapter like Colion Noir's:
