It turns out that my adult child went shooting some years ago and did not re-purchase.
OOPS
I have some 22 she could use. But it involves either UPS or FedEX.
I know the rules, but what are the extra charges above the shipping cost?
Same? I read an old thread saying UPS had a $25 fee.
Load Google Earth.
Zoom in on the range.
Place the cursor on top of the berm.
See elevation.
Place cursor at target location. Note elevation. Subtract.
Answer!
I used to avoid the Goldens. But for the last year they have been plentiful at Cabellas. I go thru about 6 bricks a year shooting prairie dogs for Colorado ranchers.
So I bought a bunch of bricks.
( I want to say this first about Federal Automatch: They are consistent in my PD-Killer CZ...
You can have a deductible with Eastern Insurance/ aka Historic Firearms.
I sacrifice coverage on the typical value of one rifle to cut the cost down. That pays back quickly.
1) Rented safes: Are you going to change the combination each time a different renter uses it?
2) Government RAIDS: How long before there is suspicion that some Perp has stored a crime gun there? They will come and cut open those safes....maybe more than one! There also could be crime...
Review.
It shows up at Cabellas too.
I shoot prairie dogs for ranches. My total for this season is 1200, and with the exception of about 100 with a shotgun, about a third have been taken with Automatch in a CZ bolt action at ranges from 70-180 yards. I consider it accurate and consistent.
The burden of proof as to MFG date is on the State. Did you buy it before July 2013?
Just so you all know: There has been approximately zero enforcement here of the new Law. I am thinking maybe one case.
Lock it in your trunk if you are worried. Don't attempt to sell the magazine.

I saved an article about 10 years ago, but can only summarize it now. It was about 4 aimed shots. That is the legal capacity for hunting in many states.
Winner: Semi-auto. About 5 seconds. Then Bolt. Many can do 10 military rounds in about 15 seconds, so about 7 seconds for 4 rounds...
With 2 witnesses, a portable bench shot on a prairie dog: 346 Yards.
Short.... two flying blue grouse with a High Standard 22 and birdshot. Maybe 20 feet in 1968.
Once you become licensed, you are know as a business, likely in a searchable database. Then you are more likely to be burglarized or robbed. Thus the guns get into the hands of criminals!
I use a 22LR for Varmint hunting. I often shoot on a grass strip airport. It is 2800 feet long. I see dust kickups well past 400 yards shooting level. Some kills are at 340 yards, or about 1000 feet.
Better make a berm, or stick to an airgun.
A bunch of you are paying too much. You need to look at Eastern Insurance.
Paying 17 a month for 15000 is waaay off.
And NRA which came to all members... you have to requet that coverage to get it. Deeper coverage is expensive.
You guys didn't get the Eastern numbers correct. Far cheaper, and you can get a deductible. Like one or 2 guns to save premium.
And the NRA only insures you if you Ask For It. No longer automatic.
