Even if they're patented, you think some factory in China would be counterfeiting them by now. Hell, I'd buy a Promag *shudder*, if there were ANYTHING available.
Lately I've been hunting crows with my 12GA, which works fine if they come into range (60 yards or so for my skills). Quite often they'll land in nearby trees at around 100 yards or so. I could definitely up my kill count if I could take them out as well, but I'm not sure if it can be done...
