    How to SBR a rifle?

Yea, I don't understand it either. If I wanted to engrave a rifle with "My Butt Loves ATV LLC, Wrigley Field, Illinois", nothing can stop me.

Making a new UZI an SBR

No need to chop a 16" barrel down; you can get semi-pattern proper 10" barrels from a variety of vendors.

    Update on NICS appeal

Contact your Senator and sign the waivers allowing their office to look into your problem. A call from Senator X's office, assuming you're in a gun-friendly state, should get things moving.

    .308 rifle suppressor help

I have a HVT I've been happy with. You won't get too much input from owners though in general of large caliber suppressors; they're as rare as hens teeth in the wild.

    PTR 91 Paratrooper SBR

That's what the Internet says. Shooting at 300m targets I can hit them far more readily and consistently than I ever could with any AK, and stuff that gets shot gets torn far more to hell with it than with the SAR-1. Been shooting mine, including the hell of getting one to run with a HVT...

    Oswald's Carcano.

    Beretta Laramie

I've had one since they were first offered in '04 or '05. They're made by Uberti, yes, but I've never seen a Uberti with the fit and finish of the Laramies - or I'd own some. Mine is in 45LC though, but a speedloader works on it, which is half the retro wierd factor. Shooting it well...

    Changing the Guard.

If your politics become known and they don't align with those of your customers, you'll be in a world of hurt in this business. You can be wierd, have tattoos, look like hell, et cetera, but people will not spend money at places they perceive, rightly or wrongly, to be aligned with their...

Is it necessary to include my Rolex in gun pics?

So what you're saying is I should have included a watch in this:

Beside 1911: Favorite WWI or WWII Handgun

Yea, I went through half a box..to see if there was *any* improvement. None at all. Afterwards a Glock trigger felt like heaven. And the polymer grips were like wood target grips compared to the corncob pipe of the '95.

    Bushmaster Carbon 15?

It is what it is, it works but it's nothing fancy. I've had a pistol since the ban era.

    Anybody carry NFA's?

Yea, the HK shoot was what made me think about the choice; at the same time, there comes a point when I figured screw it, can't be ruled by fear - if so, I'd never ever leave the house and not own anything hazardous or anything at all. I also thankfully have the 'cripple can't run' thing on...

Beside 1911: Favorite WWI or WWII Handgun

Would you pay $3k+ for one when you can get shooters for a third of that? That's what it'll cost, the hand-fitting and assembly on them is ludicrously time consuming, and some half-assed near lookalike isn't going to sell well.

    Anybody carry NFA's?

At this point, can make an argument for anything that's in service in some sort of bodyguard role (P90, MP5, etc, in the "It's not unusual to want quality tools that professionals use" vein) or military service (what's so unusual about a fancy version of the best selling rifle design in...

    Anybody carry NFA's?

NFA stuff is perfectly legal here concealed or otherwise. There's a restriction on MG carry for LEO carry, but not civilian. Not saying it's advisable or smart or any of that. Things are far more legal in far more places than you believe. My travel/car gun if I leave town is my...

    Chatting with my pops

When a gun isn't present, other things are used - look at the mass assaults/killings in China for instance.

    Issue weapon question

If you're issued it as part of your job, consult your department on all of the above. Changing configuration, parts, etc. is often frowned upon.

Experience with the Living Trust approach to Class 3?

Once you have the item, you can move - you don't need CLEO permission a second time providing it's legal and there are no state licenses to acquire (I have no idea if there are any, none here).

Strange Question Department: Hand Held MG 42

First time I fired a M60 (as mentioned above, derived from a MG42) was standing. Not a problem other than the weight of the thing; it got heavy pretty damn fast.
