    Hi-power grips

I went most of my life shooting a BHP with the factory wood on it (a '72 BHP) But then I found rubber hogues (for the '92) and I was hooked. I cant stand the mkIII grips with the thumb shelf

What have you done in the reloading room today

I was sitting there looking at a freshly tumbled pile of 38spcl and 357 and decided to give this "one shot" stuff a day in court.... And I gotta say, This stuff is pretty kickass. I don't think sizing pistol brass is hard... but now its really really not hard!

    Powder preservation

i am vaguely aware of the shortage, and recent bonanza.... okay so, last i knew, one could go buy tanks of helium. The "readily " part may be in question.

    Powder preservation

Yes sir! any hvac supply house would have it... But as the gentleman GeoDudeFlorida pointed out.... nitrogen may not be a fantastic idea, because of the composition of that which we're trying to extend the life of. (Slaps forehead) But helium is! And that is also readily available.

    Powder preservation

I did misspeak. I appreciate the semantic correction for sure. I use nitrogen at work to dispel oxygen and moisture... my thinking was to that effect. Dispel oxygen, and delay decay.

    Powder preservation

Ive wondered if purging the containers with nitrogen or other inert gas would help.

Loading 223 with the components that I already have

IMR4198 is one of my favorites with bullets up to 55gr. I would list my charge weight, but i wont. It used to be at book max back in the day, but its over max according to more recent data. Accurate as heck and economical to boot

duty size gun carry for ccw

Im 6' 2", 200lbs and have carried my BHP, IWB for over a decade. It rides at about 3:30 and pretty much disappears under an XLT henley style shirt. I have a multi tool, extra mag and flashlight on my weak side, so there is some ballast and its not uncomfortable, even in a car with high...

    Condition 1 or Condition 2

The hipower is an outstanding platform. Installing an ambi safety is a piece of cake. Or at least, mine was.

Is it sacrilegious to bubba an early model Winchester 12?

A quick search found this: https://homesteadparts.com/shop/ I might go this route i stead of hacking mine.

Is it sacrilegious to bubba an early model Winchester 12?

Ive been thinking the same thing.... not a trench conversion, but just to cut the barrel on one of my mdl 12s. Both 16ga, made in the 20s, finish is equally rough on both, and theyre both smooth as butter. But horribly long for moving around indoors
