    9mm ammo and chrono data

Thanks Ned for sharing the data, I appreciate it. That S&B factory ammo is cookin’! And with a low ES/SD to boot.

    Favorite powder for 124grain 9mm

I really like True Blue in 9mm. I just recently worked some up with the RMR 124 RN FMJ @ 1.135 OAL, and found 5.6gr to be my favorite, it averaged 1064fps out of a 4.5" CZ. Very easy shooting. Ramshot also publishes +P data if you want to go a little faster, but honestly I would just use BE86...

    BE-86

That 6.3gr must be pretty snappy. I worked up to 5.9gr with the RMR 115fmj, and stopped there because groups got bigger and it just wasn't fun to shoot. Not to thread jack, but how on earth did you get the 115 fmj for $57/k ??

So what are your loads for the new RMR 115 FMJ?

I've been loading plated and coated, and have several pet loads, but this is my first time playing with jacketed. Here is some chrono data from a few of my favorites so far. Out of a CZ P09 4.5", trail mix brass, S&B primers, using a magnetospeed (muzzle velocity): RMR 115 FMJ BE86 5.7gr...

    RMR 115 grain FMJ

1.140 plunks fine in my CZ which has a pretty short throat.

    Term Usage "ES"

ES = extreme spread SD = standard deviation For chrono results.

    Exploding cartridge

4.2gr of bullseye seems a little warm for a 135gr bullet... ? But I doubt that is enough to do this kind of damage. edit: never mind, I was thinking 9mm.

    WST for 45 Auto

WST is really great stuff in 45. 4.3gr under a 230gr RN, and 4.7gr under a 200gr SWC. Both made 165-170 PF out of a 5" 1911 for me.

    Separated case- 9mm

I agree. The same thing happened to me, that's how I learned lol. My first post may have come across a little snarky, didn't mean it that way.

    Separated case- 9mm

This is a pretty well known issue. The brass comes from the parent company of Freedom Munitions and Xtreme. Most reloaders cull that brass.

    Using a GEMPRO-250 to check a ChargeMaster 1500

I too was baffled by that paragraph in the manual for my gempro. I asked Will Knott Scales where I bought it, and they said .001 mode is the most accurate. So that is the mode I use. Maybe it is just a typo, but man that is a pretty serious typo.

I've considered doing this as well. Would you share what method you used.

    BE-86

I didn't think it was compressed, but I only eye-balled it, so it very well may be. My press is set up for .45 at the moment so I can't go back and confirm, but just looking at your calculations, I notice that you are measuring the bullets as .680"? My RMR 124gr HM RN are more like .585". A...

    BE-86

This was a very informative thread for me, and I finally got a chance to chrono some BE86 this weekend, so I figured I'd share here. CZ P09 (4.5" barrel) 9mm RMR 124gr RN thick plated 1.135 OAL same headstamp brass S&B primers BE86 5.3gr Shots: 8 Max : 1136 Min : 1120 ES : 16...

    Perfecta

I've shot about 1k rounds of perfecta 9mm, and reloaded a bunch of the brass with no issues. I have seen a thread somewhere with pics of weird off center flash holes.

    IMI 9mm brass

If you're talking about the IMI Israeli ammo, that is good stuff. If you're talking about IMT/Freedom/Ammoload, their 9mm has an internal ledge that is prone to splitting.

Why is my linkage rod bent on my 550?

That is completely wrong. The rod should be straight, perpendicular to the ground. Straighten it out or order a new one. You will never get reliable powder drops with that.
