Gotta have one! Winchester 1876 replica coming out!!!

Onmilo, The gun we tested is a production rifle from the first shipment of 80 guns to enter the country. We could have tested a pre-production sample last Fall, but we always insist on a production gun. The gun weighs about 10 pounds, but balances well, and does not feel quite that heavy...

    USRAC/Winchester is quitting

Only the Models 70, 94, and 1300 are scheduled to be discontinued. At this time, there are no plans to build these antwhere else. The Jap/Belgium/Portugal guns are not affected. It is a very sad day, to be sure. Jeff Quinn gunblast.com

.260 Rem vs 6.5x55, or the .264 Belted Mags?

RugerOldArmy, The Grendel was designed to get the most long-range efficiency from the AR-15 rifle. If using a bolt gun, I would choose a 6.5x55. I wish that Savage would chamber their 10FP for that sweet little Swede! Jeff Quinn gunblast.com

.260 Rem vs 6.5x55, or the .264 Belted Mags?

John KSA, I did not mean to imply that the Grendel is superior to the others, I just love the effiency of the cartridge. For instance, comparing the Grendel to the .260 Remington: Using the 123 Scenar for example, the Remington beats the Grendel by roughly 300 fps. However, to get that 11.5...

.260 Rem vs 6.5x55, or the .264 Belted Mags?

Those are great cartridges, but I prefer the 6.5 Grendel to all others. It is just such an efficient little jewel! Jeff Quinn gunblast.com

    50 Beowulf

I love my Beowulf. It is a real thumper. I bought the shorter Entry Gun, but have also extensively fired the Overwatch. Here is my review of the Entry Gun: http://www.gunblast.com/50Beowulf.htm and the Overwatch...

    Optics Opinions

"Thanks for the comment. How is the quality of the glass? I want as much hunting time at dusk as I can get. Does it compare to a Leupold?" That is hard to answer, as both are plenty bright. I have no 2 scopes that are alike in both brands. However, to better answer your question, as it was...

    Optics Opinions

I have tested 2 Mueller scopes, and they worked very well. I am still using both of them. Longterm, I can't say, as they have not been around a long time. I have also not needed to test their warranty service. However, I have heard from others who read the article, then went out and bought a...

OK this is going to sound silly as hell ....

HKUSP45C, I did not intend to confuse you, Sir. Most cans that are procured by professionals who want maximum sound reduction, and who also do not want to leave an empty cartridge laying at the scene, prefer a slide lock that keeps the action from cycling. With the methods that they use, one...

OK this is going to sound silly as hell ....

You will need a threaded barrel, which will drop right in. You might also want a slide lock, to prevent the slide from operating when the weapon is fired. The easiest way to do this is by modifying the thumb safety. You will also most likely need taller sights. Jeff Quinn gunblast.com

Girlfriend wants to get CHL!! Please suggest some guns and carry rigs...

Joey93turbo, Quoting you Sir: "I still won't rule out the IWB possibility though, she has a very nice ass that might help" I will try to help. Can you post a picture of the ass? Seriously, the weapon needs to be relatively light, if she is going to carry it on her body always...

Where are the Savage model 40-V's?

They are in production, but are in high demand. Have your dealer scour the distributors for one. Here is my experience with that rifle: http://www.gunblast.com/Savage_Model40.htm Jeff Quinn gunblast.com

    .357 for Deer hunting

I prefer the 180 grain Hornady XTP at just over 1800 fps, but sometimes use the 180 Remington as well. Lighter bullets usually also work just fine, but I just like the 180s. I have not tried 125s on deer, but push them to over 2000 fps from a sixteen inch barrel. Perhaps I should give them a try...

SShooterZ, That is not intentional, it just worked out that way. While I am no expert on rifles and handguns, they are my passion. I like shotguns, but use them less than other types of arms. I do enjoy a good double gun, and I use shotguns from time to time, but you are corrct on the bias...

    GunBlast.com

WarMachine, As you stated: "I guess my feelings for the site came from some underlying bias that I had developed over the years from reading gun rags. I am sure that you have seen a trend of their love for most anything they test. I find it amusing when they have an advertisement for a...

    GunBlast.com

WarMachine, I see your point. However, stating that my reviews are not "blatantly honest" implies that I am dishonest. The reason that you do not and will not see a "bad review" on Gunblast.com is that I do not test junk. If you have read many of my articles, you would see that if there...
