    And using a max load developed with standard primers, and then using a magnum primer could "possibly" cause pressure problems. Although I doubt it.

    Some powders require a magnum primer to fully burn the powder. So since he doesnt know what kind of primers are in the cases he should use a powder that doesnt require magnum primers. Is what i meant to say i guess.

    Just load them up at close to min load and shoot them. Should make some good plinkers. No point in waisting perfectly good primers. There is no way you will have to worry about any catastrophic failers because of primer choice that way.
