Companies That Stand Behind Their Products - Let's Make A List

Mossberg. Was having trouble w/ a 500 dropping shells out the bottom. Emailed them and they sent me the parts I needed no charge and quick response time. Not necessarily guns, but related: Excellent service from Buck knives and Kershaw knives and Spyderco.

Was the Rifleman one of your favorite shows?

I liked him in Branded too. Where he was in the calvary and drummed out unfairly for cowardice. Then he had to prove he wasn't. 2 seasons. '65 '66

    22LR stingers vs mini mags

roadchoad Stinger cases are a tad longer than regular LR. Compare, you'll see. In a standard sporter chamber, (most factory barrels) the stingers are fine because of the loose tolerances of the chamber. In most match barrels, the tolerances are much tighter and the longer stinger won't...

    Amazing-400 yards with a 22lr specialty pistol?

xr1200 Don't tell the guys at rimfirecentral that. :neener: They do much better than that all the time. W/ my 3 10-22's I can do 3/4 moa at 100yds with out really trying. And my optics aren't anything to brag about. Just normal .22 scopes. I have messed w/ the internals tho.

There was a gun show at the Merchandise Mart (I25 & 58th) this weekend and about every 6 weeks. They always have 5-6 places offering services for CCW. All should be decent, take your pick.

Why Are We Fighting Useless Battles?

MES227 Really? I remember riding my bike w/ a .22 across the handlebars 3 miles to the lake to plink. No one said a word! I actually carried a S&W M28 INTO a bank to cash a check in '74. Yeah, it was a rural town and during hunting season and I had camo pants on, but still it was a bank...

If you encountered someone Open Carrying...

I remember seeing someone OC'ing here in Colorado. But I don't remember where. But it was a year ago. Or maybe last month. I guess I just minded my own business. And it didn't make that much of an impression on me.

    Flashlight for defense

After I put an LED into a C-cell mag lite for my wife, she complained about the ice cold barrel in the winter. So I got some of that 'tool handle' plastic dip (from Home Depot) and painted most of the light. I put about 4 coats on it and it's done the job for her. She reports that insulation...

do any knives come with lifetime warranty?

I've experienced (and read about) the complete opposite with Buck's warranty. I've had a 110 for about 30 years now. About 20 or so ago, I abused the hell out of my 110. Used it as a hammer, cut metal banding, used it as a scraper, etc. The blade was about an inch shorter than new. I...

Which Cartrige best for taking out Coyotes

I'd go w/ the .22. But.... If you use the .22, put some Stingers or similar in it. I think you'll get better results.

    Should I buy and build a 10/22?

About 1 1/2 yrs ago, I built this one. GM barrel, VQ internals (hammer, trigger, sear) and topped it w/ a scope. I added about $400 total to the original price of the gun. It shoots like this at 50 yds. I took it and a brother or two on Saturday and shot a bunch of P-dogs w/...

When will we get a decent lever action in 500 S&W?

Hello!! Marlin.... You listening?????? Yeah, I'd love a companion to my .460. I'd snap one (1894) up in a heart beat.

    S&w 500

I don't know if Roger Rabbit was released in Italy but: It's a half animated, half live action movie. Many of the characters were exaggerated in size. Many of the guns were much larger than real life also.

Where can I buy the FMJ .410 derringer?

I've got one also. I got mine several years ago as novelty. I think I only paid $75 or so for it. Like others have said it doesn't pattern well, it's not a shotgun after all. It does kick pretty well. You have to flip a lever to shoot the other barrel which is not easy and it's opposite...

Anyone make a .357 derringer? Good idea?

I've had this for 15 years or so. I've shot probably 4 boxes thru it w/o it flying out of my hand or turning my fingers black. I even challenged the Boy Scout troop I volunteer with to shoot it which several of the boys did successfully. The trigger is not something I'd accept in any other...
