Couple things
1) I see no issues with manufacturers producing smart guns, this may bring more firearm owners into the market that are afraid of the scary non-smart guns. -> smart gun owners may eventually move into the realm of stupid guns.
2) There are people who dislike pistols with manual...

i would have to choose a Little Badger...not for me though, for my daughter as a first rifle. I bought her an AGM L96 for her birthday and she loves it but its kinda on the heavy side.
I wouldn't mind seeing a buy-back for smart phones. I know you see these idiots driving down the road "facebooking" and such. I imagine more people die per year driving while "playing" with their phones than firearms.
My daughter just turned 5 and i have bought her a "rifle" for this upcoming Christmas. Thing is though that it is bolt action airsoft rifle (spring-not gas). I figured this would be great with teaching her proper safety / muzzle discipline...etc. Someday i will move her up to a 22.
