I just got a marlin 39a date code c 1946 bluing is like new but the finish on the wood was fair. The wood is in like new shape so I stripped and re finished it to look like it should. Now the rifle looks like a easy 90% value. Not bad for $75.00 that I paid for it. Oh yes it shoots fantastic.
