All the picture shows is where the sizing die stopped.
No problem, all my 9mm brass looks the same and some of it has been fired so many times the headstamp is unreadable.
Honestly it sounds like you don't really want to load 357. The same argument could be used for any caliber. Just because your dad isn't shooting it much now does not mean he won't in the future.
I got a 550 to make enough ammo for not only myself but also two sons, no such thing as a 650 at the time. It more than kept the three of us stocked for hunting and range trips.
Now that they have left home, I wonder if the 550 is really needed.
