I have decided to buy a pair of armor plates. What I'm looking for is level 3 plates that stop both m855 and m193. I'm looking for something that's light but not affected by tempature (polyethylene). My budget is about $1200 for both plates minus the plate carrier. All info you guys have would...
Do you know if a ceramic/polyethylene plate would also degrade in high tempatures? The polyethylene is the backing and would still be susceptible to heat right?
For a while I have just been using Remington oil (got it for free) but now it's almost gone and was wondering if there's better options out there? What do you guys use?
I have decided to purchase a plate carrier (for a bump in the night kind of situation) and have been looking at some plates. I was looking at chase tactical and was wondering if their a quality product? And also I was under the impression that polyethylene plates were heat sensitive but when I...
I have the hog hunter for an all purpose/scout rifle I would probably go with the scout but detachable magazines are a big point for me. Also not sure how they compare on weight but the hog hunter is decently heavy

I would spend the extra money for the quality you know you're going to get with the vortex eagle. Vortex also has the crossfire 2 for around $200 but it's only a 1-4. I would also check out sightmark they make a 1-6 too it's $200 at my local gunshop but seems to cost more online. I have no...
I would probably stick with AAC as there a reputable company. I have been looking at the m4 2000 it's rated for 10" full auto so it will last a long time. It's on sale right now at silencer shop for $577 and comes with a free flash hider.
All leupold scopes are quality even the less expensive and if something does happen they have a great warranty. And if your goal is lightweight I would skip a illuminated reticle for sure.
I was at sportsmans yesterday and they had some hpr 60 gr vmax in 556 so I was wondering is hpr ammo high quality? And is the 60gr vmax a good home defense round? Thanks in advance.
