Wife thinking about CCW. Looking for suggestions...

With cocked and locked making her feel uncomfortable that takes the 938 off the table, although when I am looking for deep concealment my 938 is my go to. IF she wants to try one I suggest the rubber gripped model for carry. The wooden gripped ones are beautiful pieces and shoot well but don't...

    PTR 91

There is just something about the old vintage wood on these. I got a set for my GI and get a lot of interest at the range every time I take it out. The wood is getting scarce according to the guy I got mine off of a couple of years back. Mine is a great shooter, I love it. As mentioned a light...

New Sig P 365, looks interesting

2 people I know got 365s last week and both had the issues being described. Both guys took them to the range straight out of the box. After a clean and lube both ran like champs.

DA/SA semi autos ... difficult for me

There are a lot of viewpoints in this thread and I suppose this is one of things that today makes better than decades back, there are multiple solutions to the same problem. I have SAO, DA/SA, striker styles of triggers and one thing that persists across all of them is that they are smooth. If...

What Would Happen Where You Live...

That is brilliant! I think all anti-anti gun types should have one. The anti vote would dwindle due to attrition by stroke.

    Case trimmers

I have the Franklin Arsenal and it works well. I like the ability to put other things onto it like a nylon brush to clean necks quickly. I got mine a couple of years back and the blades had a bad heat treat on them and stopped cutting very quickly. I called them and they said it was a know...

    Barbecue gun pics!

Gotta love the attitude of the women that work there. Most probably wouldn't but they are the best.

Major Changes in European Gun Laws

I believe the problem may run more deeply that "the evil gun" and well into the right to defend one's self. I look to our British friend to offer first hand input into the scenario. Your 25 year old daughter is pulled into a doorway by a couple of animals looking for some fun. Obviously a...

Corrections officers asked to leave Cheesecake Factory — for carrying guns

My understanding is the "Force of Law" is purely a Trespass if asked to leave and you don't. If you leave if ask it is not a Trespass as it was explained to me. (in Ohio)

    Point Shooting

I am no expert although it is something I work probably less than I should. Personally I work from high COM and let the shots walk up, not pulling the recoil all the way down. Then pull it down hard and let it rise again. I have NO idea how this fits into "expert" training but I feel it would...

1911 cocked-and-locked, anyone ever forgets the safety?

I'm not going to the "you are the safety" thing it is just too cliche' but there is a thread through this that can't be ignored. You worry about something getting into the trigger? Buy a real freaking holster that fits the gun, not a generic POC nylon "got a great deal on it" holster. You have...

1911 cocked-and-locked, anyone ever forgets the safety?

Pretty much. When it is just part of the action of bringing a gun up to bear from years of that motion. Kind of like tying you shoes, you don't think about it, you just do it. I can see potential problems are in the realm of possibility but personally I am comfortable with manual safeties.

    .308 ish semi rifles

Something to be said for the AR platform for the Lego effect. I have a PTR91 that runs like a champ and as accurate as you expect a battle riffle to be with FMJ.

Top 5 Selling Handguns of 2016

Yep. My 938 with Corbon 115DPX +p will be just fine. It conceals beautifully so I have no need something smaller.

    922r and Winchester SXP

Isn't 922r just for imported guns? Isn't the Winchester US made?

Sig P938 One of the best carry guns available.

They are great little guns for sure. I try not to carry mine much because it just disappears and I forget its there in a kydex IWB. It gets too easy to carry everyday and I like to carry something a bit larger for EDC. I also have a kydex "trigger guard" that snaps on and it rides like a champ...

Problem with random primers not pushing all the way out

Could the primer be sticking to the end of the pin? You are pushing it out but the upstroke pulls it back into the pocket a bit? I had this happening on my 650 with a lee decapper. The round would stop rotation of the shell plate because the primer was hanging down. I ran across it on the webs...
