    Stocked Pistol?

If it has a 10" barrel you've got an SBR. However the trigger housing on a MK2 is not a serialized part. The upper is. So with a 16" upper around you'd be OK. Just don't put the 10 inch upper on the stocked lower unless you take the stock off.

Montana House Shoots Down Federal Gun Control

One of the issues with marijuana tax stamps was that you had to self incriminate to buy a stamp. Pretty effective way to end it.

    Silencer

Over in the Silencer section on AR15 some guy has pics of a destroyed TAC62. He says he had a baffle strike then a a few more rounds run through it for good measure. I can't find it now but man it looked nasty. I don't think he blamed it on the suppressor but its something to think about...

    Jacksonville, FL Ranges

I'm over in Gainesville. I'm not familiar with the ranges in Jacksonville, but if you're willing to drive a little there is a state range in lake city that is supposed to be fairly decent. All of the Florida state ranges: http://myfwc.com/HUNTERED/ranges.html

Which is more important? U.S. Constitution or...

The 14th amendment barrs the states from infringing on your rights either. That means the 2nd and 1st are not just limitations on the Federal power.

I don't think it counts as a silencer but the case could be made either way.

Maximum Legal Caliber without Class III ?

It's been said already but: Basically anything over 1/2 inch in bore diameter is a destructive device unless the ATF grants it a sporting exemption.

Handguns and Torque, for you physicists....

I'll bite, Yes they torque but I don't think it would be nearly enough to be noticeable to anybody. The 3 components you're looking for in a torque are the force exerted, the distance from the axis of rotation and the portion of force exerted on a moment arm. The force is fairly large for...
