The Colt King Cobra Target 22 has turned out to be a superb revolver. I liked my first one so much I bought a 2'nd and I'm eagerly awaiting their upcoming release of the 3" version. As for the rear sight I agree the Wilson Combat sight is vastly superior to the factory version. I have put WC...
I believe several ammo manufacturers who have developed 22 WMR defensive loads specifically for handguns do make more reliable ammunition. For example the Federal Punch, Gold dots, Critical Defense and the like are made to a higher standard than regular 22 WMR ammunition.
I'm just glad to see Colt building revolvers again. Own several old ones and the clockwork on the new ones is better and stronger. The big gripe with older Colts like the original Python is that they easily go out of time. The new one don't. My two favorites are the Anaconda and the King Cobra...
These are really good revolvers. I was so impressed with my first one I bought a second. I'm looking forward to their 3" version coming next year. You have to handle and shoot one of these to truly appreciate it. Goes good with my Anaconda.
The scope mounts were on the scope when I bought it and they are unmarked. They are steel ofcourse and very high quality making me wonder if Hensoldt sold the mounts also. I was initially worried about whether or not they'd be high enough for the bolt handle to clear the scope.
My first was an ES340B and I liked this so much I wanted to get the upgraded ES350B. Both rifle exhibit truly high quality. Both have the same action with the ES350B having hand checkered higher grade walnut plus a grooved barrel so you can adjust the eye relief on your rear sight. I found a...
The conversion mark is the rune and date with the CG crown next to the serial number. Some were also done by Norma precision. As for the modified cocking piece most Swedish Mausers have an upward and checkered at a 90 degree angle piece as part of the striker assembly. this thumb piece was...
I like your choice of optics. I believe these were originally designed as match rifles not sporters which is why they are so heavy. I'm now waiting on a ES350B which was their deluxe version with a higher grade of walnut plus hand checkered stock.
On the newer 310 it is very hard to work the lever, I have to should the rifle to do so. On the Model 33 it's much easier and yet they both seen equally powerful. The first time I shot the 310 I put 2 cardboard boxes together and from about 20 feet it went thru them and kept going. A YouTuber...
I've been searching for one of these for years and finally found one at a LGS for a reasonable price. It's a S&W Model 45-2. Most of these were US Post Office contract guns and a few went to police agencies but they were never cataloged. Very little is written about these revolvers that is...
I have the single shot version called the ES340B which is definitely pre war. The French ones referred to are MAS 45 made post war and are crude in comparison. Here are pics of both.
I was never into air rifles until I came across these Haenels. The Model 33 is pre war but they both have the same action. First time shooting these BB guns I couldn't believe how powerful and accurate they were, especially considering their age.
The CG63s are wonderful rifles. I have a friend who imports these a couple times a year so I finally bought one. Can't wait to get it out to the range.
I have yet had this Model 70 to the range but hopefully the weather will warm enough to do so in the coming weeks. In the mean time I've been buying different 270 loads to see which my rifle likes best. Here are a few more photos. The unique property of the maple stock is that the grain looks...
Hopefully I'll have my APX next week and if I do I'll post some photos along with my thoughts on it. Beretta has produced some real dogs like the Nano and Pico but I think the APX will be a winner. With all the good striker fired, polymer framed pistols now available the competition is stiff. I...
