I don’t know if it’s still a problem with the BP9CC, but early on they had a common issue of gunky striker assemblies straight from the factory.
A detailed strip and cleaning made a big difference on mine.
I thought it had a pretty good trigger once cleaned thoroughly.
Thanks to the internet, only the occasional deal can be had.
I was pleased a couple of years ago when I got a Swiss K31 for $299. Now they are north of $400.
The .380 is considered fairly enemic as far as self defense rounds go.
Over penetration is not generally a problem of .380 ammo. Especially from a short barrel.
And adequate penetration is needed if you
want to stop the threat.
So for me, higher velocity in hopes of achieving it is the way...
Since I don’t believe you can get reliable expansion out of a short barreled.380, I chose the high velocity option.
I use Underwood Ammo Xtreme Defender in their “+P” loading. It’s only 65gr., but it’s listed at 1400fps.
So at least I should get adequate penetration.

S&B subcontracts to other manufacturers
when they can’t keep up with demand.
My last lot of S&B was produced for them by Ruag in Germany.
Very good practice ammo at excellent prices.
The OP might have been dissuaded from buying one, but I have decided it might fit my needs nicely.
I think I’m going with the Pug. That 1” barrel should contribute to a spectacular fireball.
And I like to support local businesses and I call Utah home.
I’ve fired 5+ thousands rounds of S&B 9mm. Some 115gr. but mostly 124gr. Can’t recall ever having a issue with it. I buy it whenever my last thousand round lot starts running low.
Seems like sgammo.com usually has it in stock at a good price.
My Benchmade 470 emissary has aluminum handles. They do show wear from everyday carry.
I like how the smooth surface aids my drawing it from my pocket. While I like aluminum for use on a light duty gentleman’s folder, I do think it would be too slick for anything heavier.
As to whether or not...
I too, have jumped on this bandwagon. After seeing Hickok45’s video, I knew I had to have a RAR in 7.62x39.
I put a Primary Arms ACSS 1-6x24 on it and dropped in the timney trigger ( doohickey on the original bugged me). Nice upgrade.
Bought some mini-30 mags and some .20 cent a round ammo...
