Best AK Mount? Take this Poll IF YOU KNOW THESE PRODUCTS

I am not sure on the ulti; but you have to remove the rear site of the ak, to install the tws. So if your ulti rail needs to use that space where the rear site was... then you are out of luck using them both.

    Savage 64 or Marlin 60

I have shot both, for about 30 years now. they are both very good, and neither will let you down. if you need a mag fed marlin, there are tons of new and used models out there that use them, particularly the new 795's. you can get mod 70's, 75's, 99, 99m1's, and others, agian all used though...

My customized .270 rifle for hunting (pics)

You know, I had not shot a 270 in my whole life up until about 4 years ago; I allways thought, well the .06 can do it better anyway. but after fireing a 270, I like it immensely more than the .06, just for the much less recoil, and I think it will do or atake any game an .06 will anyway. So...

    22 rimfire rifle scope recommendations

I completely agree with the idea of a fixed 4x, as long as you are not trying to target shoot at 100 yards!!!! However for just about everything else, there is very little a fixed 4x can't do, even on big boy rifles. I like the old school weavers, all steel, el paso made, and you can find them...

    Cnbc remington hit job

I have been in the army, new a few snipers and also some marine dudes this has happened to. Know some guys at the local range I go to , this has happened to. If you can picture how this trigger setup is built it is super easy to see how this trigger assy. can easily fail. one easy way to...

What to do with 2 Arisakas?

sell the one with the mum, and one without the mum. make some money. take the 3rd one and rechamber, to 6.5 various; such as grendel, creedmoor, 260, 6.5 swede, or some such. it is a damn shame that the arisaka round costs and arm and 2 legs, it is a fabulous round. So make it something else!!!

Need Ideas for a Scope Rem 700 308

I would go with the n ikon, but a lower power, and not so much money. Like a 3x12, for about 200 to 250 bucks. Nikon makes very good stuff for decent money. I would also not overlook Weaver; there top 2 lines are super scopes for the money, and use Japanese glass--- can't go wrong with that.

vortex is pretty good, also look for Sightmark.

    RMR-30 (Kel-Tec .22 WMR semi-auto Rifle in the works!)

I hope they can make this reliable--- I had a ramline once, and the mags were hit/miss for working. I would still prefer it in a long bbl pistol, with a 30 round mag; but if they can get this working in a 30 round mag, with say a 10 inch bbl, that would be awesome, but it looks like it's gonna...

Savage Mark II 22LR as 100 yard Varminter... Pros? Cons?

my only suggestion is to go heavy bbl, and possible thumbholer if you like. the savage is notorious for bbl heat, on their sporter bbls, so if you plan on taking more than 1 shot per minute to 1.5 minutes, then I would do a heavy bbl here. Also as an aside, the sss ammo, can either be 1...

    Saiga conversion .308 or 7.62x39

... Now I agree with the 762.39 here; the only way I would do a 308 saiga, is to get one allready converted-- that is to say, one that allready comes with either the hogsback or thumbhole stock. that way, you can keep a sporter version, which will allready have the better trigger group, and...

    scope for 22 mag rifle?

truth to tell... I would just use a fixed 4x, for hunting anything at all, under 100 yds. From squirrels, up to bears, 4x is just fine; not so much the 22 mag for the larger game mind you.

    Which AK chest rig?

have you tried the bulgarian chest rig? they are light, comfy, and hold lots of mags. http://media.photobucket.com/image/bulgarian%20%20chest%20rig%20pictures/imarangemaster/RetroSaiga.jpg Usually, you can get them at gunshows. got mine, with pouches with mags allready in them, a freshly...

    To K-Hornet or not

I would also say the flyer is not a thing solved by going to the K... my only issue I guess, would be convenience at this point. I would not suggest going to a K, just to get an extra 50 to 75 yards of trajectory, even for better reloading capabilities. For me, I would do the tweeks to the...

Opinions on Sig Sauer 556 Classic

The sig is great, I mean just fantastic; it feels great, is super smooth, comes with all the bells/whistles, fantastic fit and finish. however , above dude is right as well; though it will proly never break down, it shares very little with other ar's, except mags of course as well. But my boss...

    Straight pull bolt .22?

I agree with the b.b.'s( biathlon basic), also check the finnish lion. lotta money though. however the b.b.s can be had for a reasonable price, and can be quite accurate. Also check annies (anschutz), and you can see, or call CZ, if they have any biathlon/ olympic winter style rifles.

    First surplus bolt rifle?

depends on what your primary use for the rifle is , to me. I like to hunt, i like to hunt big stuff, I like to target/paper punch, I like cheap ammo, and I like to stalk when I hunt. for me, the m38 mosin, was the best choice. I also like the tanker size mausers, if you can find one.
