I wear bifocals and had problems with computer screens and iron sights. Then a buddy told me get a pair of readers that are one-half the strength of the bifocal reading lenses. So I found a pair of cheapo 1-1/4 readers (my bifocal is 2 - couldn't find a 1 power) and solved both problems...
Go to the drug store and buy a pair of readers 1/2 the strength of your regular reading glasses.
I have a pair like that I used for the computer monitor and discovered they very well for shooting.

And it is not "zamac". According to their web site the barrel is 1215 steel, cylinder 12L14 and frame is aluminum. Also know the U.S. steel companies were forced by the government to stop making 12L14 some years ago. Maybe the web site is old or they use overseas steel.

I switched over to Frog Lube a couple years ago for both cleaning and lube of all my guns. Went through the initial ritual of applying it to all the metal surfaces, heating and wiping dry. Cleaning is now a quick and easy job, have not had any rust problems (nor do I expect to) and the stuff...
I've been using nothing but Frog Lube on all my guns for the past 2-3 years and have not had any rust problems.
After shooting I run a bore snake through the barrel following by patches with Frog Lube. It removes all the gunk with no problem and leaves a protective finish. Highly recommend...
