    Clays for 44 Spl

I was shipped 8 lb. Clays in place of Universal Clays, not a total loss, my cost was refunded and told to keep the powder. The powder sat for several months until I had time to make test loads. After the usual assortment of loads I had fantastic results with 44 Spl 4.0 grs w/240 LSWC and 45...

    Kudos to RCBS customer service.

I 've had many good experiences with RCBS customer service in 30 years; Stuck case removal, loose carbide sizing rings, bullet seating tools for cast bullets. A check I sent to have a die repaired was returned back with a new die, no charge. I'm a loyal and grateful customer.

    Two S&W 45's...older & newer

When I shoot my metal S&W at the range most shooters comment it's the first one they seen "is it new", I must be getting old. I love my 4516 but also my other favorites are 3913, 6906.

hows the ruger american in 7.62x39mm?

I have shot several hundred rounds of Russian and Yugo through mine and it's accurate and lots of fun. I purchased 2 mini-30 10 Rd mags, put a C-More railway red dot, simple sling, great to walk and plink in the local desert washes. Zeroed at 50 yards and keep most shots shots under 150...

    Considering 357 Lever Action

I've had many great shoots with my Marlin 1894. Shoots best with 158 gr JSP/HP/Plated FP rather than 125 gr. and rings steel plates with authority. As I get older I don't enjoy full power .357 in my S&W as I did years ago but in the lever its hard to beat. I recently read Marlin's in .357 are...

Going with the lightest published charged for plinking ammo

I agree with muleman11 that a benefit of reloading is loads at the minimum cannot be bought. A while back I worked up test loads in 38 SPL 125 gr Cu to introduce my niece to shooting using HP38, I used my S&W m10 5" barrel and as I shot the lowest charge the 1st round didn't register on the...

    Yugo M48

I visited a gun shop in Yuma AZ 20 years ago with a similar look and the owner had a Mauser room with wall to wall rifles, a shrine. Is anyone out there visited this shop and does it still exist?

    870 Barrel Defects

I experienced the stuck shells in my tactical 870 too 4 years ago. The problem started with the first box, shells would get stuck and I had to butt stroke the gun on carpet to get the action open. The problem became more frequent by the 2nd box to the point the extractor would tear through the...

    Thinking about bullet casting

I have a story I'll share as I got started and more interested in shooting I found it an economic necessity to find cheaper costs to reload .38 SPL ammo in 1975.. I had lots of time but little money. I had a Lyman loading book with information about casting and the local gun shop where I was...

9mm ring at base after resizing

I bought the Lee "U" die and it partly improved sizing the bulge out and dropping into the case gage but was still having issues, went in halves with friend to buy case pro roll sizer. I attached before and after images.

    Reloading Valley??

I received a link on an Extreme Bullet e-mail and ordered 300 .38/.357 on 7/14, received 500 9mm on 7/19. Sent message to company using their "contact us", no response by 7/21. Sent e-mail to Extreme Bullets and received reply from Freedom Munition that Reloading Valley is a sister company. I...

    Berry's plated hbwc .38 cal.

My best groups with Unique; 38 SPL 3.6 grs & .357 4.5 grs. I initially tried faster burning powders I use with Hornady HBWC; bullseye &HP38 but wasn't happy with the groups. I seat bullets flush with roll crimp.
