I'd like to have a Winchester, 1894 "trapper" (made 1923) reclassified from a SBR to a Curio and Relic. I understand it must be sent back to ATF in WV, examined and approved. It is NOT a fake or "cut-down". It's original!
Cody museum doesn't have any info as to its original configuration...
You're correct in that they are considered Curio and Relics but ATF must inspect them and determine if they were originally produced in that configuration of just arbitrarily cut down by their owner. I just don't know the process nor where to send it to get it certified as original.
I am...
The "original" 92 and 94 Winchester Trappers had 14", 15", 16" barrels. As such, the 14" and 15" are "short barreled rifles" and registerable under NFA laws. I just don't know the process.
I've got 3-S&W 6906 Hi-Cap (9mm) mags and 2- 6906 Hi-Cap mag "shells" (no follower, spring or mag cap) I's like to sell....if this is the proper place to post that?
