Would like to thank all the folks who chimed in to answer my query. Have decided to keep about 5 or 6 mags of .556 hollow point or ballistic tipped on hand for emergencies, and a few thousand FMJ on hand for range use. Turns out the ratio I had was the ratio I needed! Really need more range ammo...

I just counted my supply of ammo and the totals seem sufficient to me. 4400 rounds of .223, 1600 rds 9mm.. Mostly plinking ammo, IE, FMJ. I am mostly a rifle shooter, don't care much for pistols (Quigley Down Under?). What does the hive mind consider to be a good supply of HP ammo to have on...
I'm not exactly new but, have not been around for a few years. Just busy doing other things mostly. Right now I'm into AR's, having recently acquired an AR15. Working on making it a bit more sporty. Anyway, howdy to all and hope to be around a bit more than I have been of late.
