I've never fired a Plus, but like you I also had one of the M43's back in the day. It was a tad heavy for it's size, but it was a tank. I probably could have used it to drive tent stakes without hurting it nary a bit. ProMag still appears to make magazines for it, but I've heard mixed reviews...

Too true. I qualified with the .45 because I was an ammo tech, and we had to be armed when moving munitions from one camp to another. But the majority of Marines that would stand watch had only fam fired with it, which was like, 2 magazine of 5 rounds, by the numbers.

It's a non-issue that gets used as an excuse a great deal. It's like people hating on Glocks for their grip angle. It's there, but it ain't all that. Same same.

I popped into one of my "regular stops" gun shops this morning, and they had managed to clear some shelf space and were finally going through some guns they'd taken in at a gun show some time back. The one that caught my eye was the Sig P239. It looked almost new, with just a tiny buff mark...

A Sig P220 Legion. But since I already own an older P220 (1980's), and the Legion's MSRP is over $1400, I don't see it happening. :thumbdown:
