Does anyone have a Remingtom Model 11 or Auto 5 owner's manual?

You can also try: www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/ There are several manuals there.

NRA Firearms Insurance is only $1000 now. I just got my membership packet yesterday, and realized what a paltry sum it really is.

    Getting thru Iowa...

What about Illinois? In this same line of thought, has anyone here had to travel through Illinois while transporting a firearm? Is their a legal way for a non-resident of Illinois to travel through the state with a firearm in a vehicle?

    Ammo In A Hot Vehicle

I had a bad experience with some .38 Special handloads which spent a summer on Ft Campbell, KY, in the trunk of my car. The loads were a pretty mild charge of Unique behind a 158 semi-wadcutter. When I got around to firing the first few out of the box, in a S&W 19, my first reaction was WOW...

    P32 1st gen. ankle holster

I carry a P32 in a DeSantis Apache Ankle Holster. Take a serious look at it, it is both comfortable and functional. I've never used a better ankle holster than the DeSantis.

    CCW in Colorado and Arkansas

I asked the Colorado D.O.W. about this last year. The customer service guy that I talked to on the phone had no idea about legal concealed carry while hunting, so he checked into it, and called me back. Long story short, concealed carry, done legally and properly licensed, is covered by...

Ergonomics One thing that no one has touched on yet, to any degree, is ergonomics of these rifles. I own an L1A1, and I fired a German-Army G3, and I personally feel that the G3 felt like a club. The safety on the G3 required me to move my firing hand to disengage it. Not so with the L1A1...

What small arms does a Bradley IFV crew use?

Alright, this thread really brought back a funny memory! I spent some time in a Divisional Cav Squadron in Germany, back when there was still an East German Border to be patrolled. My troop had exactly one M231 that I ever saw. Our Master Gunner taped the wire stock from an M3 Grease Gun on...

    SFO Airport Guardsman picture

I was there, post 9-11, in more than one airport, as National Guard. The M16s and M9s were all carried with fully loaded magazines in place. As for police powers, we we activated post 9-11 by the various state governors, at the request of the President. We were not under Federal orders, but...

Police/military guys, tell us some stories.

Many years back, one of the platoons had a new 2LT, in the Cavalry SQDN I happened to be in. Said 2LT was very high-strung, and wanted to be in on all platoon activities, including Weekly PMCS on his Bradley CFV. He proved to be a bit much for the PSG to handle, so a task was finally...

    Worst you ever owned....

You're not going to believe this, but: Worst Pistol was a NIB Sig 220. That piece of junk wouldn't reliably feed FMJ. It kinda' soured me on any Sig product. I traded it for a Glock 19, best trade I ever made.

    Military people.

Master Sergeant, U.S. Army, Retired Reserve, 21 years service. Every minute of my time was in Tactical Communications, working with Cavalry, FA, Combat MP, or Armor. Signal Corps - You can talk about us, but you can't talk without us!

    Steyr Scout

I've had a Scout (the Tactical, just as in the picture above) for several years now. IMHO, there just isn't enough scope on it, for eyes which are not youthful any more. Beyond that, which is an easy fix with a different scope and another set of rings, I think it's the best general-purpose...

Denver restricting sales of .223 recievers

Denver's "Home Rule" is a prop, to allow their city government to do as they please, using city and state law as they see fit. Witness the recent passage by voters, in Denver, of a measure which made legal possession of small amounts of marijuana within city/county of Denver. City officials...

    Kel tec 32

My P-32 has proven to be ammunition sensitive. It doesn't like Federal ammo. As long as I run Winchester or Speer Gold-Dot through it, it's 100% reliable, and has been for 1000+ rounds.

    Free batteries

You ended up with a couple of batteries for military issue night vision. Those are the lithium cells to power the AN/PVS-7, AN/PVS-4, etc.
