I was looking at that mold, but couldn't find a diameter spec for it. I have heard good things about the REAL out of a ROA. Just want to make sure it's the correct size.

Looking for advice. I'm looking to get a conical mold for my ROA,but several of the recommendations in the back string of the forum are not showing up in searches for current molds available for sale. I'm looking for something in the 200-225 range, this seems to be about max for it to clear the...

I use Pyrodex, black is too hard to find around here, and shipping is usually too high. Pyrodex is hard enough to find, many of the gun shops around have stopped carrying most of their muzzle loading supplies. Even the Cabela's that I frequent has turned their muzzle loading supplies into an...

I hope to shoot it this weekend, it's been two weeks since I've been able to shoot. I haven't had a chance to shoot it since I finished the front sight. I know I will have to file front sight down some so I'm anxious to get out there.

What do you fellas make of those marks? I shot a light down the barrel from the muzzle end, something I hadn't done before and noticed these concentric marks.

I may even change the finish, who knows! I believe in shooters, just maybe not as much as I'd like to shoot them. Now that...

Well when people don't clean their stainless completely, and that chromium oxide doesn't form,it sure does!

I used iosso bore cleaner to remove the rust and discoloring. I'm guessing the pitting will just be character now.

I punched it out right to left, but I'm not sure that matters much. Although it doesn't look like a normal roll pin,it wasn't tapered. The pitting in only on the outside of the gun.

Thank you! I have no idea of the history it has,but it was being sold on consignment by a widow. It does have a little surface pitting, but not bad. If anyone knows how I might lessen the appearance of that pitting I'm all ears. This is the sight I made for it. I will have to do a little filing...

Here is my ROA. I've had it for about 8 years and just recently broke it out and have started shooting it. Man it's been fun! I quickly found out that they shoot high with heavier loads,so I just finished making a taller front sight. I'll post a picture of that later.
